Been saying it all along pal Backpass Berge is more of a big liability than an asset! The team was more balanced and the effort and team work was 300% better! Forwards and upwards after that display!! UTB!!⚔️⚔️👍👍
 
I agree, I feel for McBurnie because it's not even his fault that we play worse with him. The first thought of the players when he is playing is to lump it up to him and he gets no support so we straight away lose it. Now we can't do that and last night there were some positive signs going forward as a team. Basham looked good in midfield too, best he looked all season in that first half. I think we can all agree with a formation change. I would personally go with a 4-2-3-1, Fleck and Ampadu as the midfielders, Didzy as a 10 with Burke LW Brewster RW and Mousset upfront. Can't see us winning a game all season if we keep the 5-3-2 shape.
 
Yes I think you are right.

Dizzy was great last night and would be good to see him at 10 with Burke / Moose or Brewster in front of him.

Berge has proved to be a square peg in a round hole. I have been disappointed in him and this could prove to be a blessing in disguise’s.

Bash in the middle is a good option but maybe keep him at the back and put Norwood or Osborn in the middle.

One benefit to having Basham in midfield is simply having someone who has a higher level of aerobic ability than Norwood or Berge, particularly as we spend most of our time getting pulled from pillar to post chasing after the ball

4 at the back based on the second half last night has to be worth a shot. You've got your back 4 and the 2 midfielders screening them, let the front 3 do their bit and send the full backs on. Ampadu pushes into Baldock's position, Fleck joins in and the same on the other side

One point I can't empathise enough too, is that people mention that if we move to a back 4 then we will be more exposed defensively. You have to remember though that our wingbacks are our only wide option and our only outlet. So if we were to have wingers then there would be more options to create. Our wingbacks could also focus on being more defensive too as they aren't relied on as much to create for us.

Our wing backs don't really create, numbers wise.

And save for McGoldrick’s performance yesterday McBurnie put in the performance of the season against Leicester. Isn’t his fault it gets smacked up to him.

I suggested this in the shout box saying we played better without Berge , but got shot down by an expert 😂 .
Berge is a great lad and has plenty of ability and we were playing well with him on the pitch for 7 minutes , i noticed they were shouting to him when he got the ball to drive through , which he has the ability to do with his size , and he can just drift past players with ease , he needs to do this more and also shoot when he goes past players.
The problem is he goes back or sideways a lot and tends to slow the play down sometimes , and since we have got him we have dipped form , so lets see how we go on with out him against Brighton .
As for McBurnie , we have had to play him but now we have Moose , Brewster , Burke , McGoldrick things have never looked as good up front this season , we need to get a result , no WIN , at Brighton i just hope Wilder plays the right front line and goes for it

Can't agree with the Berge statement unfortunately, I thought we looked a lot more dangerous with Bash in midfield.
 
I keep seeing people say about when we went 4 at the back last night. We didn't, not once, we stayed at 352 with jags (awful sub) at Rcb and bash at Rcm. Then when jags went off we went to 3412 with bash back to Rcb, amps and fleck in a 2 with Didzy at 10.

First time Berge tried breaking into more than an Andy Gray jog all season and he’s pulled his hammy.

Having scored early on then we’d have conceded at least 2 with or without Jags on the pitch.

McBurnie’s not at fault for our wank hoofball but I’m hoping that without him we at least try not to do it again.
