After seeing another 3 incidents that went against us due to inept officiating, is it time that someone at the club made a formal complaint using a complete list. Video evidence could be used to back most of them up. It could be handed to the media for them to make a story on quiet news days and hopefully to get something done. Whether that is demotion for the officials concerned, a more keen eyed set of officials or automatic promotion for United :-)

Alternatively, they could do what comes natural and take points away from us for moaning and give them to Trevor Brooking's West Ham.

I'll start the list off with the latest first as I think of them and then can others fill in the gaps:

- Huddersfield's equalising goal when everyone in the country saw Huddersfield's striker oul the Brentford keeper

- Not sending the Charlton player off first went Beattie saw red

- The dissallowed goal against Charlton with no one near their keeper to foul him

-The foul on Simmo to give Wednesday's equaliser by the same player who should have been sent off for a penalty offence in the first half.

- Heskey's push on Jagelka to knock him off balance and handle the ball against Wigan

- Liverpool's penalty robbing us of 2 points in the Premiership when Morgan "intended to" foul Gerard

The clearly attempted GBH on our striker (can't remember name) at Man Utd which should have been a penalty and a sending off for te Man Utd defender

I'm sure that they are a lot more but do not spring instantly to mind. Which are the other clear incidents that have cost us that you remember?

Did we ever prove whether or not Carlisle's second goal was offside the other week? It looked it at the game, but we were at the wrong end. I never saw a conclusive replay, as the camera was always zoomed right in.

Anyway, as much as I understand where you're coming from, you don't know that it might have all been totally different anyway. Maybe if Morgan wasn't penalised, Gerrard would have been angry and unleashed one of his trademark, selfish, ball-greedy-bastard 40 yarders in the following minutes that would have changed the course of the game anyway.

Time to let it go me thinks

Sure we get shafted, it tends to be in big games, but is it that or is it that there is more at stake?

didnt cancer inventor neil warnock do this after the triple assault season ? and just ended up getting a fine

The whole of 06/07 was aimed towards whu staying up.

Did the ref have WHU in mind when awarded a penalty on the opening day of the season.? Did warnock think 'I'd really like West Ham to stay up' when sending his team out for a cowardly display at villa park? Did Monty and Kozzy have West ham in mind when giving away daft penalties at Anfield?

We had plenty of opportunities to stay up in 06/07, but we blew it, tevez or no tevez.

One goal was all it would have took for Wigan to be the victims instead of us. One solitary goal that we could have either scored, or not conceded. Such is the thin line between success and failure.

Chase me, chase me,

Did I say at our expence No. So the goal they got at Blackburn? the non points deduction? Kozzys disallowed goal at their place.

Just shows how you jump to conclutions with me and your logic goes out of the window when your hunting for me.

The greatest injustice was the antics of Graham Poll at Old Trafford for the Arsenal Semi-Final in 2003.

Unless you are a Palace fan in which case it was Pesch's Qtr final goal at BDTBL which was clearly offside but got us back into the game.

These things happen in football, it's what makes it such great fun.

Not to mention Webber's late winner at Watford in 06-07 which was also clearly offside and Paddy pulling a Hull player's legs from under him in the vital promotion game in 2005-06 when it was 2-2 and no pen being given.

A touch paranoid don't you think??? If I've jumped to the wrong conclusion then I apologise. But since you posted that in a thread that's about the injustices Sheffield United have had over the years then I don't think it was unreasonable of me to draw that conclusion.

The only thing I hunt for is bullshit. Some people's posts smell a bit more than others that's all :)

Please don't let facts like we were sometimes on the receiving end of good fortune too get in the way of a good whinge :-)

Is it time to compile a list of incidents that went unjustly against us?

No.

Perhaps it's time to compile a list of times when the Star didn't love us more than Wednesday though.

:)

I still maintain there was nothing wrong with the Pigs equaliser at our place, just really poor defending/goalkeeping.

I think there is some slight paranoia evident within the ranks here :D

Every wrong will be righted this season when we get the winner in the last 10 seconds at Exeter, to secure automatic promotion, and the swine don't make the play offs, or we play them in the Play off final, and we score a blatant off side goal with a minute to go and its allowed, and then Madine skies a penalty over the bar in the last minute of injury time.... Karma Boys Karma

In my opinion, there are incidents which seriously affect the outcome of a season and which you can rightly feel hard done by. These would include serious referee errors in one off games such as a play-off final or cup final, such as not getting a blatant goal or penalty, or being on the receiving end of an unjust awarding of one of these. It's hard enough playing the other team without having to play against the ref as well. I would also include the Tevez saga in this as to my knowledge all precedent and law pointed to a points penalty for west ham, which would have resulted in them going down.

However i would not include the various incidents through the season in individual matches, as 1) we would receive some of these in our favour as well, 2) having this attitude is likely to lead to an excuse-culture in which we're more focused on these injustices than simply getting on with it and winning matches and 3) throughout the season it is still within our power to go out and win the amount of games necessary to negate the negative effect of these unjust incidents.

During our prem season i do think we were more unlucky than lucky overall but as Highbury said all we needed was +1 more goal difference to stay up. That's our fault and no-one elses.

We should certainly not be making a list of these, the amount of piss taking i get off pig fans for us being armchair conspiracy theorists is bad enough as it is. Let's just concentrate on winning games and going up, starting with them at the sty :D

Selected memory I think, we (and most fans) tend to remember the decisions against and quickly forget the ones that go our way. We can point to goals in the Prem that cost us but there were goals like away at Watford for example where the luck went with us. Robbed at Charlton maybe but our 1st at Bury the previous week was clearly offside and whilst it might not have made a difference, the 1st goal always changes the game.

We are starting to sound like Man City fans. No one has it in for us. Lets remember equally the things that have gone our way over the years. Because I bet they equal out.

Have you seen it from the side on then and the video stopped at the precise moment Mcdonald passed the ball?

How many times while watching TV have you thought "THAT WAS MILES OFF SIDE" and then when it shows it slowed down it was actually miles onside when the ball was played?

DW alledgedly said it was and as he was pretty much level with it, that's good enough for me. Cressy's not that quick :)

What about a list of all the things we've had go in our favour that were unjust?

Fair point, but us Blades all know the world is against us!

I can think of one. Its strange because you aren't aware of them sometimes, unless the opposing team points them out. My Notts county mate says our winning goal was unjust because it was their throw in, not ours that led to the goal. And he claims it was a foul throw!

There must be others. Chris Morgan not getting sent off. (pick one match from any.)
Balloons (Man City.)....

True but all football fans just see it from their teams poit of view. In the premier league we were treated very badly IMO.

If Morgan had hit Angel and not the other way then Morgs would have got a straight red. Seem to remember a bad decision at Goodison as well.

I remember a god awful decision to award us a penalty at home to Blackburn. Problem is we missed it.

Mancini was saying last night about Liverpools penalty that why can they ban a player on video evidence but not use it for things like the penalty award?

I think its time each team get one challenge per half so if someone scores a debateable goa, gets a dodgy penalty or one gets ruled out like on Sat then it can be challenged

Morgan easily should have gone for a dig at Van Persie's ribs in the home game.

you're going to need a big book or a pretty decent server for this one.. what with neils antics and making the fa look mugs over the tevez affair we won't get shit off them for years to come.. there are certain sides/players they pick on, balotelli is a prime example.. and others that get away with it all of the time .. terry at chelsea and the entire man utd team
