Is it still sinking in for anyone else?

Maybe it's because of the high we're on with first getting promoted and then winning the title and then enjoying some top performances and fantastic party atmosphere, but I've hardly had chance to think and realise what we've actually gone and done!
We are going up!
Objective achieved, WE ARE GOING UP!!!
We will be playing Championship football again next season. We will be playing for a chance to get back to the top league in English football again.
We will see decent away followings, experience great atmosphere, feel a real sense of pride when battering other decent teams rather than being 'expected to win anyway' (at least by all the pundits)
More TV coverage, able to attract better players and no more drivel from that lot at Swillsborough.
I didn't realise just how much stuffing the last 6 years had taken out of me, but now I'm getting reight excited about what it actually means to be going up!!
Can't wait!!

I think that we'll get back to the stage where it's ok to lose games. Next season we'll clearly win a few and we'll lose a few but after a loss it won't be a case of, "Should be winning that". It'll be just, ah, played well, need to tweak this and that, onwards and upwards. Expectation is key. To stay in the division is paramount. Build in that in year 2 and you never know.

Who knows what next season will bring. I'm quietly optimistic that we'll do fine, but I'm not expecting a promotion challenge.

Nothing wrong with dreaming but I hope most fans can keep their feet on the ground come August and remain realistic. I'm sure we'll be right behind them from the off but hope we can keep so if it's a slog.

The momentum doesn't have to fizzle out in 1 season. Brighton have shown this.

I'm in total agreement. I've been exiled in Liverpool and have had to watch this season unfold from a distance and unable to get to games because of work shifts. That's been very hard but luckily due to a change in hours I've been able to get a season ticket and although next season will be tough at times, we have a bloody good management team to sort it. Looking forward to the chessie game(party) on Sunday. The future is bright, the future is red & white.

Still on a high. Still celebrating. United, when they don't let you down they give you the best times. The very best times.

On May 25 2009 we were queueing at Wembley Stadium for the train back North. A young lad, about 8 or 9, was crying behind us. I gave him a hug (probably not to be encouraged) and said don't worry we'll be back - and then we all sang GCB song in the queue.

I didn't think that it would be 8 years before we were back in a place that felt real again. But in answer to your question whether it has sunk in - what it has done is that it has erased those 8 years. The next season will be 2009/10 in my head, we have made a fantastic manager appointment and he has signed some real footballers.

I am looking forward to a solid season in which we make real progress and maybe even press for the playoffs.

It's like when you go on holiday to the same place - because it feels right, then your mind can just wipe out all of the crappy time that went by since you were last there.

Did you also say, never mind lad, they'll let you down again next season? If so, it was our Jack, who is now nearly 17 and would be embarrassed to be reminded, I'm sure :)

Ecstatically happy only tempered by concern about cost of tickets for Championship matches next season.
Living on an occupational pension but not old enough yet for the State Pension

I'm buzzing and the only person I can feel any sympathy for is our lass. I've spent a fucking fortune and not seen her much this season. She'll have soon got me back for a couple of months so make the most of it love. :D

That's uncanny timing!

It'll sink in properly when the Championship Fixtures come out (just like it did when we were relegated and i was looking forward to a short but enjoyable stay in Lge 1).
