Have just read the comments from the last few days rather than post as wanted to reflect.
Should CW stay? I think yes till the end of the season (whenever that is). However, I'm leaning towards getting a new manager in for whatever division we are playing in next season. I think our new owners will be feeling the same. If we don't go up, then we definitely need to bring someone new in.
CW has done a good rebuild on the squad this season. Burrows, Cooper, Campbell have all been great successes. Peck, Brooks and Seriki have developed and so would have Arblaster if not for his injury. On the downside the January signings have been disappointing. Team was crying out for a Souttar replacement and I thought Holding was it but to be honest not sure why he was brought in? Results have exceeded expectations but performances have been less than convincing.
I'm not looking forward to next 4, 6 or 7 matches and am dreading a trip to Wembley if we get there.
Looking longer term, the club is not in a bad position. I'm confident the new owners want to see the club do well given their support to CW in January. The new training ground, a Category A academy plans are taking shape. Yes, we'll lose some players in the summer, but I think the basis of the squad will remain and are all of an age where they will learn from this season. A new manager for next season and a few quality replacements and we go again. That's my take anyway for what it is worth.
