Jags tonight will captain England who else, if anyone has been a part of our youth system and captained England?

Either he made his first team debut at aged 15 or he played in some kind of system we have at the Lane predominantly for youths.

Yes it is especially since the EPPP came into force a few years ago. Think of the money we could save so that we can buy new playersIt can't be the Academy Pete because we have been reliably informed over the years on Bladesmad that its failing and now on here that it's just a waste of money.

I'm struggling to see who's bonfire he has pissed on here GB.That is quite possibly my favourite example of pissing-on-a-bonfire ever! Have a 'like', son, but don't spend it all at once.

That is rubbishAny money saved would go somewhere... But it certainly wouldn't be on new players, t'would be heading Belgium way.
How much does what cost? Why, how much does it cost?
after WW2 I thinkThought he'd come from somewhere in north Derbyshire. I'd also question whether United would have had a youth set up in 1891. I know they had the Strollers for the reserves but does anyone know when we started with a youth system?
How much does what cost?
The first FA Youth Cup was in 1952-53. I wish the Youth set up was like in the 1950s , 1960s, 1970s etc (we had so many that went through the ranks) which was much cheaper to run and less "stealing of youth players" by big clubs rather than the costly academies of nowadays and "stealing" by big clubs due to the EPPPCheers Silent, I'd got it in my head it was after WWII , I think the England youth system started at that time as well.
That is rubbish
How much are the running costs of the Academy? Do you know? It isnt cheap. I would only keep the u21s team as the EPPP ruling doesnt affect the u21s. I would keep the Shirecliffe centre and maximise the income by running it as if it is a sports centre (the first team and the u21s have the priority to the training facilities). It is worth having an Academy only if you are in Category 1 AND if our 1st team are in the Premier LeagueThe academy. How much free cash per season could we be spending on players?

We have had the Academy since 2001 and since then we have had only one season in the PL, 9 seasons in the championship and this season is our 5th in the League 1. The idea of having an academy was to have good young players to get into the 1st team and us to have more seasons in the PL. It hasnt really worked and we still keep signing young players from the PL or from the ChampionshipNot as rubbish as the suggestion of getting rid of the academey.
we have had it for 14 years, we have had a few good players that came through the ranks (we now will have less because of the EPPP) and the 1st team arent having much success and we are still signing young players from the PL or the ChampionshipsBut don't you think producing our own players will help us to achieve that aim?
Because we sure as hell aren't buying them.

Dont you admit the EPPP has affected our Academy a lot?The academy isn't the reason we are no longer in the premier league.
And our entire squad was never going to be made up of youth players.
No ones is.
Everyone buys young players.
