Is anyone expecting an aftermath on Saturday?

Got to hand it to you Yankee Jon Bon, that's officially the worst fucking response ever. Seriously?

As much as you cannot see where he said that, where have I said that they should be judged that way? I asked why a club with a relatively small following has got such a bad reputation for fans who cause trouble?
And I replied giving my opinion as to why.

Let's face it the Football League would be a lot less fun without those chirpy, cheeky geezas from Bermondsay. Laavley.

Folks,

Everyone in the South knows that Millwall have never been the same since 'Barry the Frog' retired from active service. You are nowadays more likely to see a tempura prawn being battered in Bermondsey than an away fan!

If anyone hasn't been the food markets, deli's, cheese counters and craft breweries along Druid Street en route to the New Den are well worth a visit. The only harm will be to your wallet rather than your person. That is unless you run into one of the notorious posses of roaming hen nights (especially the second time round middle aged ones), in which case fear for both your wallet and your person...

You have been warned... Fear not the Stone Island jacketed youth... Do worry about that 45 year old 'lady' with the wicked glint in her eye, wearing the too tight outfit, chanting obscenities and carrying some items bought from the local Private Shop...

You will return home with far more of a scar than 'Larry the Log' could ever inflict with his best mate 'Stanley'....
Darrens not been on since you posted this ,internet access must be poor on the trains to Bermondsey.

Millwall will typically come at you in two groups, a formation known as the Fighting Bull Buffalo. The front group is known as the Head, the rear as the Loins. When they get close to you the head disperses to the flanks to form the two horns of the buffalo. These encircle you, close in, and draw you in onto the Loins.
Isn't that Zulus? The Michael Caine foes rather than the brummie ones. :)

Ah I see your saying that the few that are total wankers have built up a bigger reputation than the total wanker at other clubs. No but wait that does not explain why, when their number are inferior on a general support level to other clubs have they such a reputation? Could it be because they have a far greater hooligan element to their far lower support in general terms?

Not having counted them I wouldn't know. I have noticed a high preponderance of middle aged males in their ranks compared to other clubs so perhaps that's the case.

I think it's quite difficult to separate the truth from the myth where hooliganism is concerned as part of a club's reputation is a result of media coverage, which is often just half-truths, and personal experience.

I'm sure there are people who are convinced Millwall have a higher than average number of hoolies whilst there are others who might say they're no worse than Burnley, Stoke, Cardiff etc.
There's a thread on here arguing whether or not there were boos the other night. I suspect if we can't agree on that it's going to be quite hard to find a consensus on who's got the naughtiest firm.

The difference being the reputation has been built up since the 70s or even before and the argument about people booing has been 1 match.
You may believe it a myth but we have visitors from various clubs on this site and not very few have veiled threats or goading.
If you are at the game tomorrow perhaps you will introduce yourself to some of your 'friends '. I will certainly to a lot of away fans but not them.

I would say it's almost a certainty to have some form of serious fuck wittery from the Millwall fans within and around the ground or in the City Centre tomorrow.

One thing that may stem it is the weather forecast is rotten and a bit of rain is the best Police man on Earth.

I was only a kid in the eighties when they were smashing up the Tramway

In the 80's, the Tramway was smashed up by Blades fans when Birmingham's hooligan element were inside. I can't remember Millwall fans ever coming up London Rd.

They're not my fucking friends. Couldn't give a shit about them.

If you're looking for an argument go and find someone who'll bite. I'm not interested enough in Millwall to waste my time discussing them. You asked a question, I gave my opinion.

Dunno, but it was smashed up in either 82 or 83 when we played Millwall, it was all boarded up and I was told it kicked off with Millwall fans. As I said, I was just a kid.

Millwall were a serious firm in the 70s and 80s less so in the 90s since then its been relatively quite on the hooligan front everywhere. They usually have one away game every so often these days where they turn out in numbers
Rotherham was an example last season thats when it probably means trouble
I think a lot of the problem with Millwall these days is because of their past reputation the opposing teams knobheads / wannabes turn out and want to kick off to prove themselves when Millwall come to town even though its probably Millwall fans going to these games that dont cause trouble
There has of course been previous between The Blades and Millwall so some of thier nutters may turn up

I was going to say Zulus under Shaka. So I typed Impi and it reminded me Impi was just the Zulu word for 'army'.
Thought the zulus were brummie? Dint think our ethnic minorities where welcome at Millwall

Then I suggest we adopt a Roman phalanx formation. Three rectangular units with shields moving forward towards their heavy infantry. The hoplites can fend of their attacking troops with spears.

Alternatively we could adopt Hannibals tactic and engage them on high ground with our war elephants.
Higdons in Oldham so that's the elephant idea f****d :D

Someone ring Jeremy kyle FFS! We need some conflict resolution on here :D

Nail on head Pedro, although as I was trying to say earlier that our fans, while not looking for trouble will stick up for each other.

Many a time over the years, I have been grateful for a few Millwall "knuckledraggers" when the local wanabees try and pick off Millwall in very small groups - hence most won't condone the hooligans, but very very few will condemn them either
