Embarrassed that we only drew at home to Rochdale?

Or is this a par for the course result these days?

Embarrassed? no, despondent? yes

Have come to expect this. I am once again, really really cross that my football team has an inability to cope with, or know how to deal with a team that deny us space and time to play football.

We must have some really thick footballers or coaches (not just the present lot) who do not TEACH the players how to play in different circumstances against different styles and formations.

What on earth do they do in fucking training?

Embarrassed no . Rochdale like a number of established league 1 sides are well drilled and very organised.

We have just got to join the rest and step up the mark .

The worry is , we struggle due to a lot of times , thinking we are much better than we actually are .

Apathy and lack of belief / confidence is the Major factor and embarrassment , not the clubs we play.

Yeah - nailed on defeat to the seaside cunts Tuesday :-(

Nope, I nailed it in the predictions thread

Nailed on draw.

This is gonna be a slow start to the season, a slog to Christmas and a scramble for a play off spot.

Black, black, there's a mongoose in the station toilets, black everywhere black endless black :confused:o_O

Embarrassed? I'm relieved, as it was looking unlikely for much of the match.

And without wanting to sound like a curmudgeon... Once we equalised Rochdale still looked like they fancied a winner.

I guess the answer is that they're 3rd tier players. With the greatest of respect to them, gone are the days we sign people with a certain pedigree - we're at people who are either starting out their careers or never played above this level. Don't be surprised if the ability levels don't match the levels we're used to.

Against third tier opposition.

I'm hoping that when the team settle that it is more cohesive than today. I'm confident it will be. Got a point today, up and running.

The answer to the question is yes, embarrassed, yes, par for the course these days.

not embarrassed, a bit angry. I'm not getting any younger and I think I may be going from "wonder if this club will actually ever win anything in my lifetime" to " wonder if we'll get out of this shit league in my lifetime".

Didn't help seeing all them Leicester fans on the station going back from Hull singing "champions!" (even if they did lose today).

This is the norm now a lot of fans have accepted it unfortunately. There's no fire anymore I see hull staging protests about there chairman in the premier league, yet we just continue to accept below par rubbish.
It's a business whilst ever the consumer buys the product it won't change unfortunately.

This is our level now, if we did get promotion sometime in the next decade it would an all hands to the pump fight not to be relegated back down in the next years following it.

Football moved on in the last decade we didn't.

We are now Port Vale, Oldham, Rotherham. The odd few seasons in the Championship will be considered golden years.

I came to the conclusion awhile back that we are a well established avarage 3rd division team now. I never expected us beating teams like crewe /Rochdale ect , it's the norm ! Every club has its bleak days/years . I know in time our fortunes will change one day ! Not expecting it soon tho . Am lucky I was around to see the good days of deane/agana. It's the young fans I feel for ..

This. It's been years since I've been this uninterested and unaffected by a poor couple of results.

I think it will really kick in when we lose to AFC Wimbledon, a club that weren't in existence the last time I remember being proud of a Sheffield United team.

Seems a Long time since you'd go to a home game expecting to stick 4 past whoever the opposition.

I see we for more than Burnley did in the top flight. Fans deserve so much better.
