great keeper Keith Waugh.. unfortunately overshadowed sometimes by the holy trinity that came after him (Tracey, Kelly and Rees)..

I could never understand why his name was pronounced 'woff' rather than 'war'.

I suppose it's linked with the nightmare of 'cough', 'bough', 'dough', 'rough' etc.
 
Probably saw more of him than any other keeper. The 4th division year I went to the lane more times than I have since. Always stood right behind the goal, in the hope that I'd be recognisable on telly or in the Green un. I was 8 or 9 at the time. I wanted to be a keeper when I was little. After Peter Shilton & Pat Jennings, he was my favourite player at the time.
