Am I right in thinking it's the international break for 2 weeks when the transfer window closes? So least we have time to get players upto speed..

A number of Blades have been selected to represent their countries during the forthcoming international round of fixtures in October.

Loanee Chiedoze Ogbene has been named Heimir Hallgrímsson's Republic of Ireland squad for the World Cup qualifier in Portugal, which is then followed by a home tie against Armenia at the Aviva Stadium.

Goalkeeper Adam Davies has again been named in Craig Bellemy's Wales squad for a friendly against England at Wembley, prior to a World Cup qualifier in Cardiff against Belgium. For New Zealand, Tyler Bindon is expected to feature in a European friendly double-header against Poland and Norway.

Following the announcement of Sydie Peck's inclusion for England U21s last week, four other prospects will link up with their respective countries at the same level. Nils Zätterström (Sweden), Ryan Oné (Scotland), Mihail Polendakov (Bulgaria) and Dovydas Sasnauskas (Lithuania) could all feature in two games during this window of fixtures.

Meanwhile, Mark McGuinness, Tom Cannon and Louie Barry remain on standby for the Republic of Ireland at senior level, whilst Sam Curtis will be ready if called upon for the U21s. Elsewhere, Owen Hampson is on the reserve list for Wales U21s.
