  • Brown Beattie Carney Believe Me! - true blade - 29/07/2007 18:53
  • I have it on good authority, I have been saying this for some time.

Robbo will only admit he has been interested in any player if it has been leaked.

Robbo will try to keep his cards close to his chest, unlike Warnock!

Let me tell you. Carney is being lined up, he is quality and United hope to sign him shortly, probably Tuesday or Wednesday, His club do not want him to leave.

Beattie, bid confirmed (told you this 48 hours ago), talks ongoing and I think, after what I have been told that we have a 70% chance of securing his services. I know that some people will say, "Well he has not done it for ages." Well he will do it in the Championship, the Championship is that much slower than the Premiership and Beattie will capitalise on that, £4M, plus a good contract for him.

Last but not least. MICHAEL BROWN-THE LORD.

Question?, why has Browny not signed for Wigan,it was mentioned all last week that Michael would sign for Wigan, WELL, he has not, WHY? He has been offered a great deal by Wigan, great contract. (I told you on Thursday why he has not signed for Wigan, where the media were absolutely certain that he would) I told you the following and I again I state this.

    ANSWER:

UNITED have made a bid that has been accepted (but Fulham have been asked to not leak this), WHY, because United are concerned that United fans will build up their HOPE's and then Browny decides not to come.

Also other clubs will be alerted that Browny may be considering to drop down to the championship.

FACT terms have been offered that match Wigan's offer, FACT United have offered a longer contract with the captains arm band.

The stumbling block is Browny, he has to decide if he wants to drop down a divison for a season or not.

I have told you before and tell you again, if the deal falls through and Browny joins Wigan or someone else United will make absolutely no comment.

BUT TRUST me BROWNY will decide soon and there JUST MAYBE, YES just maybe a very important announcement that the LORD has returned very soon.

No more comment on Michael, but if you had to push me and only if I was pushed to the limit, I would then say that Browny will be a Blade soon Thanks to McCabe and Robbo.

I am going to comment no more on this unless the deal goes through.

    END of Message.

Hmmmm. Do we believe this, or take it with a huge pinch of salt? Do people think that Browny may want to come back to the Lane to go for promotion? Does he look upon it as unfinished business? Can Beattie be persuaded not to come?

interesting post of another (ginger based) forum, as the 13 year curse worked against us this year. we can expect a FA cup semi after:
1993, 1998, 2003 andddd 2008???

i don't know much about carney, but i think Brown would be a good signing and i think Beattie would suprise a lot of people (could end up beeing me) but i think he'd be a brilliant signing for us!

UTB

It's too good to be true, and whenever we've been linked in the past with "big names" as it were and it never came to fruition. But things have changed now since Robbo came in, so perhaps we can start to believe? Well if the above things do happen then yes, I will.

A poor post if you ask me, he is not giving us anything in which hasn't been reported.

Brown would be worth bringing back.

Beattie would be worth signing if we didnt have loads of strikers already.

And if he was capable of scoring goals; that seems like a pretty useful skill for a striker to have, and one of which he seems sadly bereft.

Brown would be worth bringing back if only for the extra hope, and in turn noise, it would bring to the fans.

Robbo will try to keep his cards close to his chest, unlike Warnock!

I don't get this part of the post.

The 3 players we have signed was all touted in press before hand, as is the Beattie, Brown and Carney.

Whereas I can't think of that many deals where Warnock signed a player and it was publicised much before they signed.

I think it might be referring to the Michael Brown (supposed) deal, which makes up the bulk of the text in the post.
