InterBlade vs Barnsley Supporter

10.30 kick off down at canklow playing field - anyones welcome to come down and watch...or put in a pair of keepers gloves and help out ;-)

I'm ashamed to say iv played and scored against the InterBlades before.

Didn't celebrate though - promise.

Well unfortunately as is the way of the InterBlades we had 16 confirmed.... and 10 turner up for kick off... our 11th came sometime in the 1st half

Unfortunately not stopping the midfielders breakin through was out downfall. The first was slightly unlucky as a deflection played a part in the build up. However the second the midfielder strode into our half unchallenged and hit a raking shot from about 25 yards out into the bottom corner just out of the reach of our stand in keeper. (Liam Wasden)

Second half we were better packed the midfield more and man marked their danger man. Barnsley would say we were awarded a controvesial penalty (they though our player (Tom McCaig) who had stopped was off side however another player (Thomas Steele) burst into the box and was man handled when challenging for the ball.

Thomas hit the first penalty straight at the keeper but followed in the rebound however the ref had blown for a retake following the keeper coming off his line

This time although striaght down the middle it was hard in the roof of the net

Unfortunately we couldnt get the equaliser and Barnsley closed out the game
