Inter Milan - Classless

Appreciation, if people want to clap, let them clap, if it's not directly effecting you then I'd try not to worry about it too much. As much as you don't care that it was Inter Milan, believe it or not, some people do and paid to see Inter and not United. My mate's a Chelsea fan, he went down to the Lane to watch the game.
I'm not stopping them. Just think it was ridiculous. And it wasn't just "some" clapping them off.

I care that it was Inter Milan - it was a great occasion and they had some players that are really good at football, clearly. Apparently I don't care quite enough to clap off their substitutes though, all of whom played worse than John Fleck.

Inter and Juventus is the big rivalry in Italy. A bit like Liverpool v Man U here. Winning those games means more to their fans than beating their cross city rivals

It's not, Napoli v Juve is far bigger

And I met two Manure fans who had come down from Leeds to watch the game too.

All we were doing was applauding their awesome stripey backed shirt and the excellent placement of the back of shirt sponsor at the bottom instead of at the top which should be left free for the players’ names.

Meanwhile are own players are involved in some kind of argument with Preston’s No.17 player. And we are having a pop at the Owls for fighting with Mansfield. That’s classless.

What's happened? I've missed that.

You're probably right, making an ignorant sweeping generalisation about foreigners is just plain old racism I suppose.

Is there a better chance of a good score on the Virtue Signalling Course for one or the other?
Stick with the one that gets you more points with your friends old pal cos no one else listens to such rubbish anymore.

Why the fuck did we clap them through? It was embarrassing.

Fair enough clapping their goal because of it being a lovely bit of play, but don't get clapping all of their subbed players off.

It courtesy it was only a friendly and they were guests at our club .

Could have been worse, we could have behaved like the Massive who literally bukakked every Rangers fan and player at their friendly last pre season......at least they had the grace to wipe them down with their half and half scarves afterwards though....

You know that speech in the Godfather Part II when Michael is having that meeting with the Senator of Nevada and he’s showing his distain towards Italians “oily hair and silk suits etc”. I half wondered if something similar was going off in the Platinum Suite, although in a more Carling fuelled way.

Don't remember us clapping Fenerbahce substitutes off. Is it only clubs of a certain size that we have to brown nose?

Why wouldn’t we clap them?

They’re a champions league club who came thousands of miles to play us in a friendly.

They brought most of their first team including a striker rumoured to be worth 80-100million.

It was a nice occasion, played competitively in good spirit.

Their players / fans / manager have been extremely complimentary about us as a club and were anything but classless. They didn’t moan and whinge about a few big tackles going in or act like they were superior to our lads in any way at all.

Palermo v Catania and Atalanta v Brescia are two of the nastiest derbies to be found in Italian football. It's not always about the scale of the clubs involved.

Lazio vs Roma is pretty fierce-some - trust me I worked in Rome and had to be peacemaker for days leading up to and after the game

Seen as leftist, a section of the Roma ( founded by the fascist regime) support has now lurched back to the right, where their ultras began in the 70's. The Roma fans although formed later see themselves as the City team as opposed to the peasants on the outskirts. Sound familiar :) .

Mussolini encouraged the formation of Sampdoria because of Genoa's British links. Livorno are left wing etc etc.

The irony of your own post isn't lost on you I assume?
