My observations from last night were...

Inter Milan players have no class, when their subs went off they got a nice ovation from our fans, and never acknowledged it.

Two, I guess Inter Milan and AC Milan isn't a rivalry such as us and the piglets in S6? I saw a group of Inter Milan fans outside of the club shop at about 18:50, and they were with a guy with an AC Milan shirt on. What's that all about?!

Oh, and typical foreign players falling over with very little contact.

Icardi is a class footballer, mind. Can we sign him please?

Maybe in Italy the players never honour the away fans with clapping gestures.
Maybe they think they are normal and us clapping the Inter players was plain weird.
Maybe one of their fans has posted on their forum saying how weird SU fans are by actually clapping their players.
Maybe some will be saying on the Inter forum that we aren’t real/ genuine fans like the Italians because we encourage the opposition.

Basically, You can’t really judge other cultures too harshly based on your own culture.

Is this the same inter Milan who said they were really looking forward to playing us due to acknowledging we were the home of football, whose manager has been incredibly complimentary of how much he enjoyed the occasion, I have Wednesday friends, some of who I have spent time with while they are wearing that filth, because they are my friends and I'm not a petty fucker, and I presume you missed Evans squealing like a girl last night, its now as much a part of our game as it is the Italians, so while I respect your opinions, I rather disagree

I thought the complete opposite, I thought they showed us a lot of respect. They kept the majority of the first team on for most of the game, didn't moan when we put a few hard challenges in, and were complimentery after the game. As for not clapping when they went off, I didn't see Egan do it (correct me of I'm wrong there), so no big deal for me.

Milan derby is a cousins derby, It's friendly the only hatred that's shown is with each clubs tifo displays

Inter and Juventus is the big rivalry in Italy. A bit like Liverpool v Man U here. Winning those games means more to their fans than beating their cross city rivals

I was equally impressed with them. They didn’t throw themselves around, they didn’t crowd the ref and they played it in the spirit of a competitive but fair friendly.

There were some hard tackles going in and given that they’ve lost players to injury already during their own preseason, they didn’t complain and got on with it, giving back to us as well

Much more respect for them now than I had before

Forza inter!

Inter v Juventus is THE Italian derby

We should also sign Giles Coke. Then we can have Icardi and Coke.

Why the fuck did we clap them through? It was embarrassing.

Fair enough clapping their goal because of it being a lovely bit of play, but don't get clapping all of their subbed players off.

How come it's them over AC Milan vs Juve?
Inter v Juve is “Derby d’Italia” Wikipedia’s got a bit on the history of it. I’ve been to a few matches in Italy mostly at San Siro and mostly AC matches including a Milan derby and Milan v Juve but the first was Juve v Inter in Turin. I knew nothing of the rivalry at the time but pre-match the area outside the ground was just strewn with beer bottles and during the match the fans just spent the whole time lobbing flares, seats, fence posts and other stuff at each other. I just assumed that was what Italian matches were like but none of the ones I went to subsequently were anything like that. That was the only one where the fans appeared to be even drinking!

I love travelling and I love football, no idea why I've never really mixes the two and done things like that because I bet it's incredible.

Pisses me off. You’d have thought they’d have had the courtesy to study fundamental English clapping lessons before they came over.

Classless?...Just watching that pass from Martinez that led to their goal...absolute Class...what a pass...Mind you,Fleck's little run and dinked pass, and a good finish by Mcgoldrick can also be described the same.
