Inter Blades looking for a new keeper

Good evening all,


The Inter Blades are on the look out for a new keeper. The most recent occupant of the number 1 shirt has left the team, and although we do have a very able deputy, he can also play outfield and isn't guaranteed to be available for every game (especially now he's injured his ankle in the last game!).


Therefore we're trying to find a good new specialist keeper to fill the gloves!

We've had a bit of a player purge recently, so we could possibly also do with a few outfield players to add to the squad. But, we're always on the look out for new decent players, so if you're interested in representing the supporters team of Sheffield United, then get in touch.


We've had an inconsistent start to the season, winning two, drawing two and losing 2 of our first six games. But we hope to get back to winning ways this Saturday morning at home to the Donny R'Sonists.


Kick off is at 11:00 a.m. at the Graham Solley Sports Development centre on Bawtry Road (formerly Sheffield United Cricket Club).

GOD DAMN the fact that i live 150 miles away!! I still play senior football now and played for Ipswich Town reserves in the early 90's. Only 4 games mind before they bumped me off to Boston United.
Anyway, enough of me re-living the fact that i never made it pro!!!BOO HOO!! If i lived closer, i'd have loved to have played.

Is there an upper age limit for outfield players? After a couple of glasses of decent red this evening, I feel confident I could do a job, not up to Olle's standards obviously, but I'll give it a go, hic!

Don't you remember? We commited him for claiming to be Petr Cech but his scrum cap was made out of tin foil.
