Good afternoon all,

If anyone is at a loose end tomorrow morning, then pop down to SUCC (Graham Solley Sports Development Centre) on Bawtry Road. The Inter Blades annual "Legends" Vs "Young Uns" match takes place there (10:00 a.m. kick off) tomorrow (Sat 23rd April).

The first of these matches took place at roughly the same time last year, to mark the ten year anniversary of the Inter Blades formation. Last year the Legends side took the honours 3-2 in a close match, this year I'm sure the kiddies will be gunning for revenge.

The "Legends" side comprises of former Inter Blades players and current Inter Blades that are 30 and over, the "Young Uns" side consists of current Inter Blades under 30.

cheers,

Danny Brown

As the oldest (by some margin) of last year's triumphant Legends team, but unable to turn out this time around, I still have no idea whether the Legends managed to retain the trophy.

It's a bit of a double-edged sword really, part of me wants back to back wins and a shot at keeping the trophy forever if "we" win it next season, like Brazil did with the World Cup. However, part of me wants to believe that I'm indespensable and the Young 'Uns ran riot down the left, a complete no go area during my 35 minutes on the field last time around ;-)

The Young Uns won 5-4.

Clearly the trophy is determined by which ever side I am on seeing as I have been on the winning side both times ;)

Captain, Robbie Loving lifted the trophy after a triumphant victory against the 'legends'.
