How about playing Basham there and loaning in a ball-winning defensive midfielder?

Even if we brought a CB in, midfield would still be a huge problem. We can solve a problem by bringing in one player instead of two.

If you got someone top notch in, then whoever plays next to him will be free to concentrate on going forward.

Not a bad idea. I think our midfield is as much of an issue as centre half. Left back needs sorting too......and left wing........and up front.......

Agree - Basham thinks he is a midfielder. I said it last year and it's clear again this year. He isn't.

He has no effect on the game
He never bosses midfield
He doesn't bully players enough
He's not nasty enough
He's not strong enough.
He makes no difference in attack
The ONLY time he has been on the end of something was vs Swindon in the play off semi 2nd leg. That tells you he is either too weak or he just doesn't read the game at all.

CB is the only position is consider Basham for - unless my car needed washing

Basham was arguably at his best at CB last season? Makes sense to put him back there and get a big athletic tough mother fucker in the middle. None of this runty pussy shite we've been served up the last couple of games.

At this level Edgar and Collins are not a bad pairing. With Basham as backup I'd agree we need a midfield general to get a few lazy twats working!

Big problem for Adkins is what to do when Brayford is fit again. Freeman has been a stand out player for us so far this season so does he drop him or move him to LB and drop McEvely?

I'd go with that

I'd much rather get both in, and have Basham as cover for both positions.

He absolutely does not have anywhere near enough bite to be a ball winning midfielder, and I can pass the ball better than him, and I'm just a shit goalkeeper.

I would guess that he'll probably end up on a wing. Harris will likely pick up at left back. Brayford and JCR doesn't work so well.
