Insistence on sitting back

I don't really understand why there's at least one new thread like this every week.

We're a work in progress. Last season we were absolutely broken.

This season we're at least showing heart and relative solidity.

To everyone's shock we're in the Top 3 chasing promotion.
Fully appreciate and agree to an extent, however.. as a work in progress, I’d expect us to go out and attack teams, pressure teams and put our weight against them. We seemingly score (irrespective of the time in which we score) and then sit back and defend a lead. It’s absolute insanity that we’ve gotten away with up to last night. It’s not a recent thing, this has been happening from the start of the season. I can’t think of more than four games in which we went after teams after scoring.

It's easier to defend successfully than attack successfully...

Hi Gareth, am sure a managerial role will be coming up for you soon.
Lol? So, one example then... Sam Allardyce used to save teams from relegation by (a) rapidly setting up capable defensive units, or (b) rapidly setting up sexy prolific attacking sides?

We also look shattered at the end of games so it would make sense to sit and defend, than run around trying to score.

The fitness is my biggest disappointment this season.
Fitness is a biggie for me. But the tactics are rancid imo.

I sometimes wonder about how professional the lifestyles of a few players are and what sort of example is set to them in that respect.
We do seem to always be in a poorer physical condition than the other teams around us. I wonder how intensive training is compared to other sides?

Think Wilder might need a pair. Time and time again he’s absolutely shit his pants and opted to defend for 20/30 mins when one up. When’s he going to realise the best form of defence, is to attack? Pure shit his kecks again!
It's his biggest weakness, he's always done it.
This season he's obsessed with bringing McCallum on.
