Camera panned to wilder saying “five”, commentator then said he’s gone 5 at the back to see this out.Didn’t look like to me how did you see the set up after holding went off?

Yea I don't like to see it (and neither does my heart) but I suppose that's the other side of the argument that it's worked numerous timesAnnoying, but it has worked countless times this season. Personally, I'd rather go down swinging, but I'm not the gaffer
He is too afraid to lose instead of thinking of hammering teams .Get a lead then fall back this usually backfires as one defender will make a mistake. Sitting back is a big gamble as you give away the incentive to get another, drop the tempo which invites teams back into the game.View attachment 205983
Think Wilder might need a pair. Time and time again he’s absolutely shit his pants and opted to defend for 20/30 mins when one up. When’s he going to realise the best form of defence, is to attack? Pure shit his kecks again!
After the tactical stop, the space seemed to open up even more. I had a conversation after the tactical chat about what could he possibly have said to make it worse? After 20 mins they had a tactical keeper injury as we were steam roller them. They went 5 at back and stop us playing and and nearly took us for a draw. If Hecky had our squad and vice versa he would have put 3 past us. His promotion season was more entertaining than this, though not as successful.
Unlike if we played attacking football and went for it when we were winning, in which case it would work every time and we'd never drop any points...It has worked countless times this season but I think everyone knew that it was only a matter of time before it didn’t.
Whereas not sitting back against teams that are going for it isn't a gamble, it's a sure thing which is why you see so many managers doing it with such success. He is too afraid to lose instead of thinking of hammering teams .Get a lead then fall back this usually backfires as one defender will make a mistake. I dont understand that from Wilder had we played like we did against Boro ae would have won by a bigger margin because for the majority of the game we created the better chances on the whole it was poor finishing that cost us.
To be fair, with Choudhury in midfield we had 5 at the back half the time anywayHe went 5 at the back.
No, but if you invite the other team to play football in and around your area, it’s highly probable that they will get chances and in the end score. Its also less likely that we will score another goalUnlike if we played attacking football and went for it when we were winning, in which case it would work every time and we'd never drop any points...
What’s the best team? Hamer was injured you could see that & he shouted to the bench after playing for 25 minutes his hamstring had gone.No one can deny he's a total bottle job.
Should have played our strongest 11 tonight. But dickhead has all eyes on the pigs game, cos he doesn't want to lose face in the pub with his chav mates.
Dinosaur wants sacking in the morning.
It was 4 with Choudhury as a sweeperCamera panned to wilder saying “five”, commentator then said he’s gone 5 at the back to see this out.

rubbish, must be one of his mates. We have under achieved, he has built a great team, used his resources well (Canon apart). But is so negative, as soon as we go one up. I want us to win the league, it will be the highest thing we have won in the 50 years I been going. If Burnley catch us it will be on him. After the tactical stop, the space seemed to open up even more. We were still steam rollering them throughout the first half.
Their one chance in the second half was from a calamitous defensive error by Seriki, not some tactical genius by Hecky.
Some managers in the championship make better tactical decisions than Wilder: I don’t see that as some big surprise; but I honestly don’t think Hecky is one of them.
More generally, when you’ve won more points so far than literally every other team in the league this season, it seems weird that so much talk is of how bad we are. Our points per game so far mean that, if we keep going at the same pace, we will end up with more points than anyone has won in 17 out of the last 20 championship seasons.

But then its on wilder to bollock them and change it. If it's not working or the players ain't following the plan then they need telling and fucking off to bench. There's no reason he couldn't tell them at half time or get message on to pitch, also robbo as the "captain" who's watching it all in front of him should also see this and bollocks the players and tell them - it's his job too.I suppose it depends on how much you believe his post match interview, but he did point out that it disappointed him also. He felt we were too deep and the 6’s sat back with no intention on pushing to the half way line.
It didn’t work! No shape what so ever first half!
If Hamer and/or Anel had gotten booked then we’d have been missing them for the next two matches. The gobshite has cost us 2 more points tonight. He wants to have a look at himself. Tonight was the tougher of the 2 matches and the stronger team should have been played tonight. Instead he opted to rest players as a win on Sunday will further inflate his ego. Anyone that thinks he’s taking us anywhere is fooling themselves
Nope, it was 4 all the way through the gameHe went 5 at the back.
Yes, we finished like this:Nope, it was 4 all the way through the game
I agree .. we looked tired in our press though , their No12 had freedom of Sheffield in midfield really missed Vini last night in the middle . We improved when Hamer came on but couldn’t hold the ball up top when Campbell came off . The equaliser came as no surprise, they’d pushed us back the last 15 mins & we’d ran out of steam .Felt like it was a mix of both tonight.
From the first minute they were flying up the pitch to push us back (that number 7 and Sinclair Armstrong mainly), especially when Cooper had the ball.
I think we could have worked a little harder to get out of the press (especially with better balls over the top for Campbell) but City were playing very high, and they pushed up even more at 1-0.
I sometimes wonder about how professional the lifestyles of a few players are and what sort of example is set to them in that respect.I sometimes think our fitness levels are poor in comparison to other sides in the division
Anel yes - Hamer no - although he is only 4 bookings away from a 3 match ban.If Hamer and/or Anel had gotten booked then we’d have been missing them for the next two matches.
It was sensible to avoid that.
So why’d wilder have five fingers up, whilst saying “five” prompting the commentator to say “he’s gone five at the back to see this out”?Nope, it was 4 all the way through the game
5 in midfield line as Bergen Blade stated a few posts aboveSo why’d wilder have five fingers up, whilst saying “five” prompting the commentator to say “he’s gone five at the back to see this out”?
That’s my mistake, just seen Bergens post.5 in midfield line as Bergen Blade stated a few posts above
