When you watch these videos then you realise why Wilder is banging on about our training facilities.
The first team area is basically a shed inside. The indoor facility is good in terms of the main academy building for playing when the weather is inclimate and the pitches at the back are flat but the changing/gym/canteen are League One.
Most at the top level have state of the art facilities, huge gyms, social areas, hydro pools (some even a large swimming pool). Ours are embarrassingly poor by comparison.
Assuming they are to stay at Shirecliffe then not sure what they can do. Maybe they would have to build on one of the car parks or pitches as simply demolishing current facility and rebuilding it would mean there is insufficient space.
What is that horrible noise at the start of the video?
Is it what they call music these days?

I've heard that the club are going to build something at shirecliffe and then there is the Norton rumour doing the rounds. Not seen anything in the planning department. Then again I've not looked for a while. Anyone got a clue?
Yeh thats what I thought but I haven't seen anything come through the planning department. You might have thought that if something substantial was happening there might have been rumblings on here, in the local press or from the club. All I have is that Hendo appeared to say to Berge, they were building something at Shirecliffe, a few people from the club have been seen up Norton with some clip boards and that our Chris wants the training facilities to be a priority which will create a long term legacy. Maybe the silence is deafening and they are doing this properly? Who knows? I don't!
I like the way they still begin with a half-hearted jog around the pitch like we used to do in PE lessons at school.
Who is Billy shouting instructions to at around 02:30? One of the new lads presumably?
That goalies game at the end looks like fun. We could have played that one as kids, although we’d probably spend ages fetching the balls without any staff on hand to retrieve them.
Good news that it’ll be inside norton soon thenWhen you watch these videos then you realise why Wilder is banging on about our training facilities.
