We've got a few options here if the injuries have a recovery time of weeks rather than days. Davies can play anywhere on the left or right, and would probably come in for Brayford. Baxter's more than capable of filling in on the left, and has been switched with Murphy there recently anyway. I suspect that would be Clough's first move rather than recalling Brandy.

But with Murphy we have someone who runs at, past and away from defences. He's been vital in stretching teams, making them uncomfortable and afraid of pushing too high up and this has created space for others. Yes, we can put other players in, but it will mean our current balance will be changed.

I just hope we only use Hill as cover for Maguire or part of a 3 man centre back partnership ,not as a replacement for Brayford ,he is not a full back.
