A good win today does not on it's own correct the obvious mistakes we've made season long. If we push on from here in the same manner as our victory today, then the belief will start to come back. We shall see.

Weird, I don't think that anyone was too impressed when they saw the team sheet today. I'm sure many others shared my view that we would approach the game ultra-defensively with a primary aim of not losing.

But it sounds like we were the better side, came forward often and were rarely troubled. Maybe this game shows that Clough, on a good day, knows more than we do about how to approach a game?

I was happy enough with it. It looked balanced, full of energy, and with - praise be! - a proper centre half again. My only worry was having another new centre back combo. But a clean sheet and zero threat to Howard's goal shows it could be a good one.

Also, as excellently as Baxter played a couple of games back, I'd take Holt's running over Baxter's sporadic classy touches in any away game.

we arent the finished article , we are 8 months behind bristol city in team building
Im not smug just positive , , its the easiest thing in football being critical
other clubs lose too , peterboro got beat bradford got beat , but only ours get noticed and turned into season ending results , but they arent just set backs in the learning curve, weve looked play off bound since the JTW , but we will not win every single game

Yes i liken it to the win against BC a month or so ago i just really hope better results are to follow, we just now need to take momentum into the playoffs and be confident we can finally do it.

The performance vs Crewe was dire , it's not about the winning goal..
