As I say, I only saw it in real time but it looked like he missed the ball and took their player
he actually went over the ball but got nicked in the shin at the same time he hit their player

I thought he had a decent game but like with the Ipswich game he gave the ball away unnecessarily quite a few times. I also thought he was lucky to not get at least a yellow for the tackle that injured their player in the first 10 minutes although I’ve only seen it once, in real-time.

I think he slipped mate ..... a card would have been harsh imho

He's a good player. Skillful, good with the ball at this feet, good defensively, can pick a pass. However, I think his natural game at the moment is to slow things down too much and be too cautious. He did that first half last night and we were poor. Second half, Wilder seemed to have told him to be a bit more dynamic and he moved the ball forward quicker, contributing to a much better team performance.

He hasn't got the 'x-factor' that Coutts has that might enable him to dictate the tempo himself. But I thought he was excellent when, as a team, we tried to move the ball around quickly. Not far off man of the match for me.

Ye agree a lot of the stuff on here but not sure about last night (he was decent but not outstanding).

He looked a touch of class when he first signed and there were games against Villa and Norwich where he looked like our best player. He then seemed to drop off a bit and passed it too much sideways or backwards and ocassionally got caught on the ball. I think he's much better than anyone else we have available in Coutts' position whilst he is out of the side.

I think he'll go on to be a very good player for us indeed. The issue of tempo and speed of play is one that affects the whole team at the moment. When we're confident and move it forward quickly, on the ground, we look like a top 6 team to me, easy. When we're slow and hesitant and resort to a JOC hoof into the channels, we look midtable.

I like him very much too. My kind of player. But I'll stick with amazed, thank you :)

Got to say I was pretty amazed to see Evans "hobble off" after the tackle without even a talking to. Think he made it look More of a 50/50 tackle than it was. As soon as he dove in I thought it would and should have been a red. Haven't seen it back to reflect on, from my view at the back of the kop.

I also thought that the bad tackle apart, he had a very good game, but when he picks the ball up off the defence, he turns and passes it back too often. Needs to take more risk going forward and believe in himself.

Thought he was average to be fair. He’s played better than that for us. Was okay no complaints from me. His forward passing was overall poor but he did ping some good ones.

He’s learning and needs time to settle. Lundstram for me is better as he offers more.

I have noticed though Fleck hasn’t been nominated in the top 4/5 players for home games much this season!

I thought he had his best game for us that i have seen,he was getting stuck in and was also making "some" very good passes and if his shot had gone in instead of rattling the bar he would have been MOM.

He needs to show the same performance against Forest who will be a sterner test than Burton.

Keep it up Lee.
Yes, I thought he was terrific. Best signing in January so far by a distance. Puts a foot in, but is clearly a proper footballer to use Wilder's terms.

Early days for the Jan incomings yet but this lad seems to have secured the shirt. Wilder might just have signed him at the perfect time. Rated as inconsistent by Wolves fans, perhaps he's just at that age where he's matured enough to go past that issue

Let's hope so

Is it too simplistic to say he’s halfway between coutts and lunny in terms of the style required for our side?

To me he is quicker and moves the ball faster than lundstram but obviously is more wasteful and slightly less good in possession and using the ball than coutts.

Don’t know if that is coincidence or if it’s borne out by results?

Our form with courts in the the side was top 2 -

We were probably midtable for the run of fixtures with lindstram starting and have probably Been somewhere between the play offs and about 8th with the run where Evans has established himself.

Imo he’s been the pick of the January signing and I like him as a player - it’s early days for him in the side but more positives than negatives. Especially given how slowly lundstram started before starting to turn in some really solid performances.

Evans and Lundstram for me are two very different players. Lundstram seems more box to box he collects from the centre halves and seems to get into the box like he did at Forest away. But will have an excellent 40 mins and then gift the ball away so needlessly.

Evans is more conservative and struggles to do a killer pass.

For me I’d go with Lundstram but they both offer something different. I’ve said it before I did like them both in the same team but cannot see Fleck not playing.

Evans does the simple things makes himself available and gives the easy ball, not a great tackler mainly rash challengers.
Can’t see what Lundstrams done wrong.
I think Lundstram could make a decent footballer
Evans top L1/ Lower Championship

I didnt go, but thought he was brilliant.

He's technically good and the potential is there for him to be an excellent footballer. I think he likes to have far too many touches at the moment - the reason Coutts looks so accomplished is his willingness to only take one touch when that's what the situation calls for. Evans still has a tiny bit of Big Time Charlie/look at my skills to work out of his game.

But Coutts is a lot more experienced - give Evans a full pre season (think he could lose a bit of weight) and he could become a huge asset to the club
