No fannying about. Sums us up these days, we go for 90 minutes, we let the opposition worry about us, we play the way we want to and we don't fanny about. Wilder leads from the front, the players are well prepared and fully understand their role in the squad and its a joy to behold.

I keep saying this, we've got our identity back and I fucking love it. No fannying about, yep, sounds good to me.

Are you grimm in disguise off of thin blue line fannying about?

I'm pretty grim these days mate, think my male model days are racing off into the distant past

:p:fattwat::p

That's all that United fans want
A team that at least tries to cause problems, a team that plays to win every game, and a team whose first instinct is to stamp it's own authority on the game rather than it's first instinct being worrying about the opposition.

If we lose, we lose, but we want the team to at least contribute something to each game and go down fighting.
The pitiful manner of most of our defeats over the last few years has been excruciating

I have an issue.
Ya see.
I love a good ol' fanny.. to fanny about, what's better when there's more than a single fanny?
So, although you're quite decent at managing a football club, Mr Wilder,
when it comes, when I cum, because of there being fannies about, leave that to us, to me.
I do love a night on the ol' fanny... fanny here, fanny there, the good ol' fanny.

If fannying about ain't your bag, that's fine, more fanny for me...

Long Live The Fannying

English or American fanny? I know you're not averse to rustling around the proverbial back box so I guess it's a moot point.

Last season at Bury you'd have been more than worried. You'd have been as sick as a dog at the worst performance for quite some time.
What a difference a year makes
Better weather
Better team performance
Better attitude
Better players
Better manager
Better result
So much hope after so much despair

Another thing Bert ponders. Why do they water it ten minutes before kick off?
The desso pitch needs huge amounts of water. Not 100% sure why but we drilled our own well when the pitch was installed. As for Bury, for a moment I thought we had come to watch Disney on Ice

Because we could. :) As you say, modern pitches drain incredibly quickly, but that also means they're prone to dry out.

I imagine the manager also gets a say in the condition of the pitch at kick off. And our sexy style demands a quick, true surface. Which makes a change. :)

Actually, a great many United fans want good football, which is routinely overlooked on here because most are against it and want to see the ball smacked into the box and think upanatem is an alternative to ability.

Happily, good football is precisely what we're getting with Tuftyball. It wins matches and points and puts us top of the league.

Good football goes without saying,
I think this team can chase and pressurise, we wear opponents down enabling us to play decent football at times, but we do not tend to get much success early on in games, pointing to the reliance of having to wear teams down rather than clinically dismantling them.
We really need that quality to unlock stubborn defences earlier and bring the opponents out of their shell, hopefully Carruthers is just the guy to do it.

I think you have got all those straw men bang to rights again.

We really are a bad lot, aren't we and I'm only surprised that one so errudite as your good self, wastes their valuable time among us. You don't even seem to be educating us, as you keep saying that S2 hoof is in the majority.

It really must be terrible for you.

.

everybody wants good football

but if teams like man utd pay out 300 to 400million and can have great trouble getting it every game
what chance do we have

all teams can play easy on the eye stuff occasionally , but if you see 10 x90 minute sexy football games in a 46 game season your very lucky

the majority is mundane bread and butter stuff
it even was in Currie and Woodwards day

of every football display of note you could see 5 or 6 of varying levels of bland

you need very very rose tinted specs to see it different

we are greatly improved this season , but theres still a lot of editable highlights

Bang on the money.
