You've got me... I actually asked him how his dad was as I used to chat to him in the gym, but hadn't seen him for a while.

To be fair he's a very shy bloke which is probably the root of his problems and what's holding him back...

I have talked to Brian Deane a few times and he has a shy manner about him, is soft-spoken and doesn't say much, but he certainly is not lacking in confidence and managed to have a very successful career.

massively fucked off by this thread. Long has played over 100 league games and is only 23 years old, which as a goalkeeper is the equivalent of being 19/20 for an outfield player.
