... only kidding, pretty much to a man they were an absolute embarrassment.

I'll give a pass to Coutts who was fine throughout, and then maybe the three subs, but shit me that was possibly the worst performance from us since Wilder took over.

In particular, Lunny can fuck off and take Johnson with him.

Oh, and Wilder needs to face up to the media and apologise, because he was the main one at fault for today.

I agree with everything barring that snipe at Wilder.

We train 5-3-2 every week in training. A number of these players have had considerable minutes this season. Beating Barnet at home should’ve been a formality.

I thought Coutts was fine and Dowell showed flashes of quality and put his foot in a bit. That's about it.

People can bang on about the selection, but that team should've won comfortably.

I think our first 11 has been too easy to pick since Wilder came. Another symptom of a limited budget imo.

Sod that. They can play together in training all they like, there's no competitive football without the reserves now. They looked liked strangers out there and Wilder is to blame for that; whether it be due to poor preparation or training.

He just did the same as every Prem or Championship manager in the land does. when playing in a cup.
How else do non-regulars get a run-out for more than 10 mins at a time?
What should HE apologise for, rather the individuals on the pitch?

If you make 11 changes and you lose, there's only one person to blame. I felt sorry for some of them. Thrown into that.

Moore. Poor.

Bryan. Sack off.
Stearman. Sack off.
Crainie. Sack off.

Freeman. Sack off fast.
Johnson. Sack off.

Dowell. Free pass.
Coutts.Free pass.
Lundstrum. Sack off.

Clarke. Sack off.
Washington. Sack off faster than Freeman.

In short we have about 14 decent players and the rest are frankly fucking shit.

Blaming Wilder is brain dead.
Those wankers today were given a chance and threw it in the face of management and fans.

Well done Barnet. Good value for that win.

The United team today were an embarrassment.

I noticed when Spurs played Tranmere on Friday, Spurs put some decent players in the positions that were needed to make sure they didn't come unstuck.

We didn't do that.

Midfield wins games of football - hope it's a lesson learnt.

Fucking embarrassing today - thought Wilder had solved problems like this - obviously more work to do. At the very lest in any game of football, you have to match the opposition in work rate and commitment.

Show me another manager who played their reserves in entirety this weeked?

Even the likes the City and Spurs had Sterling and Kane on the pitch this weekend.

We do this under Wilder though, werew sublime for ages and ages, then have a stinker.

Very well done to Barnet, they fully deserved their win.

Our biggest cup humiliation for 37 years, that.

Judging on their performance this afternoon, how on earth did our players manage to find the motivation to get out of bed this morning ?

'Lacklustre' goes nowhere near to covering it

Strikes me as one of those very few games I’ve seen as a blade under wilder where the players just don’t really seem up for it, the mass changes didn’t help, however, even with arguably our second string you would have expected us to have put Barnet to bed. I honestly thought some of those lads out there today would be chopping at the bit to try and put doubt in the mind of wilder and knills next team selection.

On Johnson/Freeman not sure what they offer at the minute, god help us if Stevens gets injured not sure either on current performance levels would be the ideal candidate to fill in. Dowell looked bright and I think when he as Norwood, fleck, Didsy and sharp buzzing around him he will have more freedom to try and create openings. Overall disappointing result, the old “focus on the league” cliche may be said during interviews although wasn’t that the case anyway. UTB onwards and hopefully upwards, I’m certain sure wilder will give them a talking to after that.

Said in another thread making changes is fine but to swap out the entire team? With players who are obviously not match fit? Wilder obviously has to deal a large portion of blame. Inexcusable the lack of effort today from almost every player. The three at the back especially were pathetic.

Wrong, Citeh had de Bruyne, Sterling, Walker, Jesus, Mahrez & Stones in their starting XI. Even Jesus wouldn't have saved us with that shit XI we put out today. Wilder blundered today, make no mistake.

In terms of places between clubs, will this one be our worst defeat in the FA Cup? We were in the 4th division in ‘82 bare in mind.

So maybe City have got a much bigger squad of quality players to rest and rotate than us?

WIlder gave a fucking clear message today to those upstairs how fucking threadbare the team is - all over the park. Last season we lost a key player in a key position and he was forced to bring in Lundstram, who back then showed he was never even close to Championship standard, and has continued to do so ever since. We are one brick thick right across the park and everyone knows it. The first eleven are a decent side and capable of a respectable position in the Championship, but those below (and who should be keeping the first eleven looking over their shoulders) are clearly not even capable of challenging for that first team position. That cuts both ways, because there's nowt more fucking fatal in football than complacency.

It's all very well blaming Wilder. He has to rest his first eleven and give the opportunity to show what their worth is today - against a side way down the leagues - they've brought no small amount of fucking shame upon the supporters. Beaten by fucking Barnet. At home.

We all know the reaction to this will be 'do nowt' by the board. They'll hope that when the 1st XI show up next match we'll coast through and everything will be fucking toasty. But you watch. If we end up with suspensions, transfers out or injuries toward the end of the season and our options are Bryan or Lundstram (and that is where it counts) we are fucked.

Today is another 'Southend/Port Vale at home' landmark in our evolution.

pommpey

One thing that boils my piss is lack of effort. I’m in a job just paying over minimum wage, these fuckers are earning thousands a week. Will Leon Clarke give a fuck when he clambers into his Lamborghini in the car park? Probably not. It’s just another sign of the times now with football. Honestly some of those down at the Lane take the fans for a set of cunts. Fuck off.

The promotion charge should go full steam ahead with a twelve man squad

I know I'm banging the same drum over and over again, but Wilder should not be absolved of blame today.

As I mentioned in another thread, our three central defenders were not suited to our system today. Dowell looked lost for at least 50% of the match. Lundstram is Lundstram. Johnson is shit... and not a wing back. Freeman is patently unfit and out of the form. As much as each of that 11 would amble into Barnet's, they simply weren't a cohesive team and that is down to the gaffer as much as the legs on the pitch.

It is not sacrilage to pull up Wilder when he makes an error. He's the best manager in my life time, but he's not without occasional fault.

Dowell was a victim of what was around him, wilder approached this game a little too relaxed in terms of team selection and I’m sure he will let the 11 know that maybe he took too much of a risk. No excuse for them not putting more of shift though. Let’s hope this long break our actual 11 have had pays off against QPR who fielded a full strength team today.
