We shouldn’t even be where we are today’s game should be a relegation 6 pointer I think a lot of blades me included got a bit of pig mentality with 10 games to go we thought 2nd would/should and quite still be could ours.


But if someone offered you a guaranteed playoff place before a ball was kicked would you have taken it well I certainly would have if we go up autos then great but playoff records are there to be broken

And he certainly didn’t get it for the shambolic, negative tactics we’ve seen in the last few games.

What worries me, is that if not this season then I fear we will slowly return to mid table, perhaps lower fodder given our budget. Really, this opportunity was there to be taken advantage of by continuing to play the way we have for most of the season. For some reason, be it nerves etc. we adopted a more pedestrian style and lost all end product. Changing the starting 11 so often also played its part as players do better when the team is consistent. We need to realise these causes of our stumble.

HOWEVER, those saying it's all over are just idiots. We are 3 points behind. If we return to our original style of play and original formation and just fucking go for it with fast attacking football there's no reason why we can't get 12 points in the run in and no reason why Leeds definitely won't fuck up.

No, but we are finishing like a cart horse, whereas Leeds are looking like the attacking team they have been all season. Leeds had 28 efforts tonight & but for Westwood would have won by a mile! I think they will drop points in at least 1 game, but we will not win our last 4!

So we go against Villa or Bristol, both playing top football!

Anyway as to next season, my top 5 tips are;

Start better - don't lose 2 of the first 3 games
Get some younger players in - we are looking old, no wonder we are fading!
Get some pace into the team - we are frighteningly slow
Stop trying to defend 1 goal leads with 10 minutes left - this has cost us dearly on a number of occasions.
When drawing or losing by 1 with 10 to go, throw the kitchen sink at the opposition - at no time this season have we put the opposition under extreme pressure when1 goal would have made all the difference, Swansea away sticks out as particularly obvious. Norwich & Liverpool are 2 teams that stick out as piling on the pressure when not winning.


Be thankful for the season we have had, its not over, but it soon will be!
