In Morgan's post match interview, he said that McCabe was pursuing one man for the Managers job. The assumption is that it is Clough, however the words "McCabe is pursuing" fills me with dread. His choices so far do not inspire, so is this another McCabe cock up. Or will all come good in the end.

@JamesDPhipps: Just waiting for Peter Reid's dementia drugs to kick in and then all will be announced. #wouldsuitanyonewithbasicknowledgeof442.applywithin

I have to admit that line fills me with dread as well, lets hope HRH is not happy to be just a bystander.
If he is, he's due for a rude awakening...

Picking a managers pot luck , whod have thought Sean Dyche would be so good
just one thought on Clough , being at Derby he was always going to be compared to his father, so was on a hiding to nothing , and may at times been more defensive than he wished, at Burton he got them to the brink of league football , being poached mid season and was at Burton rail depot and hes still seen as the Messiah , lifting the club from obscurity to the league

Would he be first choice , maybe not , but some people fit some clubs , perhaps Derby was too close to home and he didnt want to feck it up , and McClaren inherited a decent squad thats 8th so anyone says he clueless have no idea , only time will tell if this is where he finally shows his metal

I share your concerns mate, his track record is dire, still there's always hope!

Agreed re: Dyche. If only we had a former big clogging centre half & captain fantastic itching to take the reigns full time like what happened with Dyche?! :(
