Shoreham Street - Til Death Us Do Part
I never like to watch United lose none of us do but let's be fair for all that we lack on the football pitch going forward once again we were probably the better team again today and didn't deserve to lose.
Again I'm going to throw the question out there about the starting XI and set up etc and this is simply down to the assets that we have at our disposal. With the players who have come in we now have a decent attacking team who on paper should be capable of bagging goals against anyone in this league however I think again we were set out to play patient football which frustrates and isn't the way I want to see us play football as it won't bag us three points every week.
For me Brandy & McFadzean should all have started with Baxter and Taylor regardless of past failings over the last couple of weeks and that would have most probably given us the clinical edge over Dons which to be fair in a very mediocre game that we dominated was all that we lacked AGAIN.
Like I said we lost but a good few positives can still be taken forward including a steady debut for Baxter and the pieces are starting to come together and I am certain they will gel and when we get a couple of goals from the attacking players then we will get a good few more.
I also trust in Weir to bring in the right calibre of players with his other signings before the window closes judging on his previous ones. I hear Wilson scored for Coventry again today, we can only dream about that one. But never the less if it isn't him hopefully it will be someone on a similar level of ability.
On top of this we have the added benefits of the pending returns of Miller and Diego eventually.
Think about the above. Keep your heads held high fellow blades and let the players gel and the magic happen. Because it will.
