Are you struggling with basic reading skills? Where have I, or anyone else, said this? I think he performs a decent role in our current squad. Surely it's not too difficult to see that I'm not saying "Monty epitomises everything I aspire to see in football". Or maybe you can't, which would explain a thing or two.

And whatever your aspirations may be (mine is to see us in Europe), it's life in England's second division we're dealing with today.

What was the % difference between men and women at the time of the suffragettes? I'd say mass opinion then wouldn't have been as mass as suggested.

At the outset of the movement in 1897 it was overwhelming. The prevailing social climate and the fact that the movement had no support from the 'establishment' - even the church were opposed - meant that only a small minority, even of women themselves, were in favour of universal suffrage.

This was but one example. History is replete with minority ideas becoming the norm, not always for the better: look no further than Germany for a pretty obvious example.

All of which goes to prove that Monty is crap.

I'd think if you got 10000 women from the time and asked them if they wanted equal rights as men, then most ofthem would have said yes.
At the time education and knowledge wasn't as it is now and many would not have thought of such a thing.
If they had been gven the choice then I think they would have gone for equality.
Like in the Monty vote linked, the opportunity was there and the vote was a landslide in favour of Monty.
