If Wilder read this forum of late

It's modern football. Every club has fans who think their club are underperforming and like to say so to anyone who'll listen. Read any forum and you hear the same stuff, criticism of the manager and criticism of the board. Managers learn to deal with it as they've had it all their careers, even as players.

He'd probably think, fuck ya you ungreatful bastards, I can't win here, I'm off to the Prem at the first opportunity.

18 Months ago were we're a mess, now we're 8th in the Champ after being top 6 more or less all season and there's still people moaning it's not good enough.

Yesterday was the first game we've been outclassed in and what do you expect when you consider the kind of players we're up against. A squad littered with champions league first teamers against a squad with league 1 players.

It's not good enough?!?!?!? What he's done is nothing short or miraculous.

We were outclassed against Cardiff. Short memory.

Just think what Sir Chris would do with a Wolves style budget??

Any knockers need to get real, he's the best thing that's happened to this club in years. Just hark back to the 'performances' of some managers and some of the signings in the last ten years. Chris is showing leadership and i think we miss both Coutts drive and enforcement and Brooks running off the bench more than we thought.

We ain't going down and we are building with what we have for next season.

Shame the 100 points and back to back promotions may not happen, Chris, you deserve it for sorting out the mess that was SUFC... now go and have a Sunday afternoon Peroni.

Don't think anyone's seriously called for Wilder to go but two wins out of 13 isn't good enough, whoever is manager.
Wilder himself would agree with that.
Be interesting to see if he can arrest the slide. If he can't, he will be viewed differently if we start badly next season, however much he achieved in the first 18 months.

In your dreams Pig,in your dreams.

There is a difference between criticising tactical decisions and player performances and the flouncing we regularly witness.
Words like useless, baffling, clueless and pathetic prove the severe context-disorders many fans have.
heh. 'context disorder'.. i like that .. very good ;)

fcks sake some fannies on here sound like a secondary school maths teacher who's idea of a treat is a peanut butter sandwich.

Whereas my idea of a Treet is a chocolate coated peanut.....

I doubt anything a Blade says would surprise or offend Wilder. He's way too much his own man to be swayed or influenced by by village pump 'wisdom' that sometimes appears on here.

Apart from the Pig-in-denial who popped up on here recently, I can't recall anyone asking for Wilder's head. There have been criticisms where tactics and team selections are concerned, but 'getting things right' is one of those games that we all like to participate in from time to time. I cannot recall a post that says in advance that they agree/disagree with Wilder's choice of tactics or the team that takes the pitch (well maybe the occasional query about personnel), so Wilder has the whole of Blade-dom behind him, and as long as we continue along this path we're enjoying since he became manager that will remain.

Wilder is a Blade. He's every bit as mardy and opinionated as the rest of us. If any other manager was reading the forum they might not "get it". But our manager has grown up with this, he was probably bemoaning the crap atmosphere on the Kop a decade or two ago!

A couple of decades ago he was probably getting called a useless cunt for misplacing a pass in front of the Family Stand.

Can I have a Sunday evening San Miguel for sticking up for him?

I'm sure I'm no different to many posters in that I read what Wilder says and take him at his word. The thing to avoid though is being too literal in interpretation, otherwise the classic, "paralysis by analysis", will take hold and cause no end of bollocks to go around in ever decreasing circles. I think there are a few things that matter to Chris, being transparent, keeping your word, and not feeling as if you're wasting your time amongst them. He entered into this job knowing it's limitations, and so far he's managed to squeeze every ounce out of the budgets he's been given, and in turn provided us with some of the best football we've seen for decades.

I think the all too familiar questions about the club's future are only going to be addressed should we acquire new ownership. If this ever happens I hope McCabe does the necessary scrutiny before handing over the keys to the kingdom, otherwise we could have a situation not dissimilar to Sunderland or even Blackpool.

Wilder as a Blade will be as concerned as any on here and will be doing everything possible to turn it around.

In reality, he's got a decent league 1 team pushing for the playoffs in the championship.

In reality we were top top a couple of months ago and now we're 8th and dropping like a stone. We'll be getting 0-0 wins soon.

He'd be thinking "what a set of wankers" and he'd be right.

There's not a single poster on here would have got us promoted with 100 points last season despite some of the "know it alls" on here thinking that they know best.

2007 I'd have had Dave Penny instead of Robbo and 101 points would have been minimum.

Trouble is McC never called me.

Why are some people so touchy about criticism of Wilder?

Nobody is saying he hasn't done an incredible job, nobody is calling for him to be fired, but we are allowed to criticise him for poor team selections and substitutions which he has done recently.

Since when do you do anything but criticise every aspect about Sheffield United,?
