Plenty of sign of it last season, our fans have very short memories, best player on the pitch on more than one occasion.
He definitely took his time to get going but won many people over midway through the season (including myself).

Obviously he's not hit the ground running this season, nobody could deny that.
We're two games into the season though, one of which he was put in a partnership that everyone knows doesn't work in a team that created next to nothing (against a good Wolves side), the other he was brought on when we had 10 men, chasing a game with tired players.

He's clearly not match-fit, can see that a mile off. But what other options do we have at the minute?

It's not his fault that we signed him instead of Maupay (who didn't want to come here, so we need to stop comparing them, not to mention they're completely different in terms of play style).
Not remember the game against Brighton at their place last season when McBurnie outshone Maupay and scored a great solo goal?

If he starts getting service and missing plenty of chances, then slate him.
He is never going to get the ball down, beat 3 or 4 players and nestle one in the top corner is he, lets be fair.

As I said later in my post he might come good. I was one of those who preferred him to Maupey based on performances against us cause he was so menacing. Doesn’t seem to have that quality for us unfortunately but time isn’t on our side.
