Potter & Hassenhuttl there is zero chance they even pick up the phone to us

Stop being clever, if hecky goes we want a cheap failure! Wilder fits the bill sadly👍⚔️
Ohh, it's just like Slav all over again. We'll only go for the cheap option. Don't appoint Hecky, don't appoint Blessin, they're cheap options and yes men, show ambition!!!!
Go get the most expensive guy in the league.

I think hassenhuttl might see the project a good one. Weirdly.. I feel the fact we have so many out of contract after this season could potentially be a blessing for a manager to come in and really build a team. Even if we’re shopping in the reduced aisle.

More chance plaiting fog than potter even giving us a second.

Still not seen any legitimate sources about Hecky leaving. Just the two most disgraceful gossip mongers (Mail and Sun) running a speculative story, which isn't exactly a tricky article to pad out. Just my opinion, but 100% accurate.

I don't think the Prince would sack Hecky. He'd offer him a move upstairs, Director of Football or similar if needs be. Just my opinion.

If players are happy with Hecky, it makes no sense to sack him. Hecky not being Guardiola is really not our problem this season. Facts.

You do know what a director of football's job is? I wouldn't trust Hecky with that. I'd happily see him overlook the development team and academy teams, but I wouldn't trust him as a director of football. We'd end up recruiting more bang average players.

Id take Hassenhuttl all day , but i think he could easily get a good job in germany or a better job than us anyway

Id take widler as first choice then if not Carrick or Rosenior

I think so too, he likes to play pressing football demanding the most out of players plus a conveyor belt of academy kids each season that have promise which he had at Southampton. Downside maybe the facilities that put him off and depending if there is any other competition for his signature, wages may become a sticking point depending on what he wants to achieve. When he took over Southampton they were in the relegation zone got them to 16th (enough!) Although they did take a 9-0 smashing at home to Leicester still managed to finish 11th again after being in the relegation zone for quite a while. They got smashed 9-0 by Man United the following season and in the same season (2021) still finished 15th. Even when they sacked him last year they had 12 points after 14 games but that year still in the relegation zone, obviously went down.

Just for context (and I wasn't in the sack Hecky camp) for Hecky to match Southampton's record of 12 points after 14 games that in the next 5 games we would need 11 points. 3 wins and 2 draws!

For reference below were their 1st 14 games that Hassenhuttl got the sack for
Aug 6 Tottenham (a) - Lost
Aug 13 Leeds United (h) - Drew
Aug 20 Leicester City (a) - Won

Aug 27 Manchester United (h) - Lost
Aug 31 Chelsea (h) - Won
Sep 3 Wolverhampton Wanderers (a) - Lost
Sep 10 Brentford (h) - Lost
Sep 17 Aston Villa (a) - Lost
Oct 1 Everton (h) - Lost
Oct 8 Manchester City (a) - Lost
Oct 15 West Ham United (h) - Drew
Oct 18 AFC Bournemouth (a) - Won
Oct 22 Arsenal (h) - Drew

Oct 29 Crystal Palace (a) - Lost

Depends what you class as failure if we had 12 points this season we would be joint 11th

If he came in December like he did with Southampton in the relegation zone and kept us up in 16th he would be classed as a huge win!

Majority of managers fail at some point. So whoever's Hecky is replaced with ( if he does go) will have been a failure elsewhere, unless its someone with no experience which I very much doubt.

Unless its something personal, picking Carrick over Wilder is madness.
Not really. Carrick is the future and has already shown he can turn around a bad run at his fledgling state as a manager. Really impressive.

Also took Wilder's mess at Boro and got them challenging for top 2.

19 out of 20 teams in the PL take Carrick over Wilder, but they're all mad apparently.

Carrick is the future? What, because he's young and was a good footballer?
His type come and go pretty quick, they get the big jobs early on based on their name. Then soon they end up on Sky Sports in stead.

No, because he's achieved much more than Wilder has in the past year with the same side.

Then Wilder went to Watford and made them worse too, forgot about that.

What's your argument for Wilder besides he used to be good and he's a Blade? No other club does stuff like this. It's so weird

4 promotions and a 9th place Premier league finish in 2020?

No I agree every manager fails and if they haven’t they will

Fergie should have been sacked @ Man U if it wasn’t for mark robins

So nearly 4 years ago then? Sound 😂

When were Carricks promotions and Premier League finishes?
Do you think Wilder has forgotten how to manage?

He’s not even had a full season in charge yet; give him a chance. He’s been busy clearing up Chris’ mess.

Judging on his last 2 tenures and how it finished post 2019/20 at the lane, yeah.
