I hope we keep as many of this squad as possible
Very long shot to keep MGW but hopefully if we had a fit squad we'd b a good shout for autos, top 6 minimum

It'll be a total rebuild on the cheap if we don't go up unfortunately. Too many expensive contracts running down we won't be able to afford to renew. Even the recently brilliant Berge will have at most 2 years left? So he'll be sold relatively cheap.

It's definitely going to be a challenge next season if we remain in this division

I think we need to release/sell a couple and buy some younger players. It probably is going to be on the cheap but we have done well signing players for free over years

Wilder signs MGW for Boro after they beat us in the play off final

But MGW shows there are some excellent young players at Premier League clubs who have for oner reason or another little chance of appearing week in week out for their club. Our recruitment team should be looking where these players are playing this season with a view to getting a couple in next season. i realise that MGW 's quality but that doesn't mean there aren't others who are looking for regular football and good coaching.

I'd imagine Chelsea are likely to be thinning their massive academy down, now that they won't have billions of roubles behind them.

Going to be some decent talents about if so!

Nail on head..

Provisions for not going up have already been made and that’s exactly why Hecky was appointed.
‘The Rebuild‘ will rely heavily on young uns coming through.

Most of this squad is under contract for next season. I would imagine that if we don't go up, Osborn and Robinson will be offered new deals, I could see that even if we do go up. Bash and Sharp I think have contract renewals based on a certain amount of games.

MGW will obviously not be coming back if we don't go up, Berge will probably go too which obviously will be a blow but only if we get a decent fee, or loan fee with a view to a permanent. I could see McBurnie going out on loan somewhere unless he finds his better form. There is a player in there but he's not showed it for a while consistently. Bogle due to injury will probably stay, and I can't see Brewster going either because he'll have been injured until the summer and hasn't set it alight this season, but was starting to, which is promising for next season. I still think we'll be one of the top 6 teams next season and Ndiaye will be all the better for this season and his exposure to first team football.

If Boro go up Wilder will probably come in for a few!

Disagree about next season, but what you say will be spot on if we don’t go up by the end of next season.
It will not be easy with Leeds and Everton in the Championship !!

Let’s not kid ourselves … yes results are going well, and yes we are now in a much healthier league position but…. I do not see our owners making any significant investment regardless of the league we are in… I wouldn’t put it past them to sell BL and move us out of town

Agree with this

Sell BL and move to a new stadium?
surely that would cost money not save money?
how much do you think BL is worth?

We've just thrashed one of our promotion rivals to move into the play off spots, we've been pretty much the best team in the division since Hecky took over but only in Blades world do we get a doom and gloom thread. "what if we don't go up."
