If they came in to stand

Billy Whitehurst by a mile! ask the bloke who thought it might be a good idea to Billy that he wasn't as hard as he thinks he is in the toilets at a presentation night!

Jeff King.

Always struck me as one of those little mentalists that keep coming.

Eddie Colquhoun

Mean, silent Scot. Ask Frank Lampard snr, shat his pants.

Some handy Blades

Bad Boy Billy - number one by a mile
Charlie Hartfield
(Lion of Hillsborough) Laurent D’Jaffo
Doug Hodgson
Curtis Woodhouse
Bradders
George Santos
Dane
Morgs

"Terrace Fighting" is different though isn't it. It's about projecting an image, so that "the other group" back down.
I'm a lover not a fighter. But, I've actually been in a situation immediately after a game where one of "my group" had an argument with a United player. The assembled squad decided to "come at us aggressively". My mate merely explained to them that they were in his World now, not on the pitch & they needed to consider what they were realistically going to do next. Which they did, and got on the team coach. As we were in the right anyway - fuck 'em (we thought at the time)

Watch out, ones waving a CAMRA magazine about.....

Let's face it Billy Whitehurst was like the one fucker who when they came into the pub you were praying wasn't "on one"..... Bradders likewise.... Charlie Hartfield was another.... Blades have had some hard men over the years..... Blokes who if they weren't earning a living from the game would have been just as happy to get on a coach for an away day.....

With Eric Dier last night heading in to the stands to confront some shandy drinking southerner, which blades player past or present would make you shit a brick and run to the exits

Now being a blade that claps until they switch off the lights and stopped to watch the lap of shame this is purely hypothetical.

But for me Morgs or Horsfield
Billy Whitehurst.

Hammond, I would be shitting it that his lack of talent would rub off in me

Agree re Billy Tightshirt and Charlie Hartfield. One player who hasnt got a mention yet is Darius Henderson, he was proper hard with shoulders about 6ft wide. He bullied Morgs a couple of times when playing for the oppo at Bramall Lane

Charlie Hartfield. When he took out Cantona I thought he was heading for BL end to take on all of their supporters.

Roy Keane and Mark Hughes kept their distance

It was Brian Gayle who had them backing off

Billy was mad and hard , but Vinnie was a better football , he was really a good midfielder .

I was there too and I heard:

"Come over here twat and I'll hit you with my carrier bag and shove this train timetable up your arse"

Got a feeling this man can handle himself.

No Carrier Bags involved. But, as it happens, it did involve bags. The players were moving between the dressing rooms & the team coach. So had their "kitbags" with them. A number of them made that posturing ostentatious gesture of dropping their bags to the floor. You know, to give us the signal - I've got both hands free now. That actually helped my mate in the "front them out" stakes. He simply stood there & said
Dear me & what are you going to do now

Of all time, my top 3:

Billy Whitehurst
Chris Morgan
George Santos

Of the current crop I would try and find a peaceful resolution, rather than getting into fisticuffs with:

Jack O'Connell
John Egan
McBurnie
Lundstram looked half decent on the boxing vid too

The Train Timetable story is, of course, a completely different game. At that one, I got so Ale Addled that I forgot it was Saturday when I read the on platform timetable poster. Hence the train the CBF went for didn't actually exist. So, the team took pity on us and arranged for Bassett to let us travel onwards on the Team Coach. Obvs, I have never been trusted with a timetable since

It's another world on tour with the CBF, isn't it?

Still I bet you filled that spare platform time admirably, swapping stories about Deltic locomotives and 3-4-2 bogie set ups......

I had previously lost my glasses in a bar after a sneezing fit following being given some snuff by a local. Obvs didn't help timetable reading capacity.

It had to be 'in a bar', didn't it?

As the song goes:
'Like a bad pinch of snuff'
