lets hope Coventry do. Wouldn't want to get them in the play-offs, on fire at the moment

If we don't go up automatically I don't give two shits who does, to be honest. There are no teams in this league that I really dislike, as we lost them last season. So there is no side that I'd rather went up instead of us. We will be rather goosed if we don't go up though, and I don't look forward to another season of it.

hahahahaha does anyone honestly think we will get promotion with the current squad ???

At the moment??? Sorry did I miss a memo and they brought the playoffs forward 5months...

Everybody used to say that about Leeds.

Aye, I don't think it has to be so. I think managing a wage bill down from £20M to £5M or whatever take some doing, and we're still in that process. I still think it's easily possibe to have a smaller wage bill and a better squad, and without wanting to come over all Wendy like, we are big fish in this small pond.

UTB

True, but Brentford, Leyton Orient and Bournemouth are above them in the form table. Crewe and MK Dons are also doing well.

I think that table show haw damaging draws instead of wins are. Just need a couple of additions in my eyes.....get Willo back and get Gallagher in until the end of the season. Get Blackman paired with Kitson and start to introduce Whitehouse into the squad as he is now back in training(decent cover then for Doyle and KMac)

And yet we still managed a 1-1 draw with them at The Ricoh Arena less than 2 weeks ago.

Totally agree W10 D10 L2 is not good enough for auto promotion.

According to Sky it was dire yesterday. Once again inability to beat our 'peer teams' will come home to roost if not addressed.

At the moment Bournemouth, Brentford, Coventry & MK seem the teams on a roll. Need to win at Crawley. Perhaps away from home might be easier for us?

Hope we can find some creativity in midfield. Seems a bit one dimensional with only McDonald, especially when he is out injured.

......................................... where we put out a team with a good sprinkling of youngsters, think about it Wilson. Got to be better than playing a defensive line up with square pegs in round holes.

defensive line up ?

3 strikers from the start(I actually think Blackman plays better on the right..we need someone similar on the other side),the normal back 4 the only gamble was him trying Flynn in centre midfield (which some fans have been calling for)which turned out to be wrong(I am sure other managers have made mistakes like this). McAllister has been awful this seasonand ,unfortunately,Whitehouse isn't fully fit yet so his options were limited. Williams has done well on the left wing in games this season so there was a logic in playing him there

In what way was this defensive ?

At the Ricoh,we didn't play particularly well. Macfadzean was steady but no attaching threat and Williams is certaingly better in that role than him at the moment .Chappell showed a few flashes as did Diego but nothing that would suggest they need to be on the bench. The best young un for me was Ironside who held the ball up well(as he did against Carlisle) and the sooner he goes out on loan for experience the better.

Too many Square Pegs and too many Round Holes came to mind on Saturday!
Never mind, Wilson doesn't seem to think it matters - his team selection for a home game against a team top of the table just two points in front was so negative it was unbelievable.

We need to sign some Round Pegs and Very Quickly!!

With all the Square Pegs we have there must be a team out there with some Square Holes and Round Pegs!

Out of curiosity, who were these fans? It's not something I've heard/read previously from anyone.

In what way was this defensive ?

One could consider playing a defender on the left wing, quite defensive.
Also dropping a forward thinking RB for one who is more likely to remain near his own half, could also be defined this way.

My thoughts exactly, as soon as I saw the line up I knew we would never score in a month of Sundays, McMahon goes all dizzy if he goes over the halfway line, as for Williams and Hill down the left neither of them are able to cross their fingers. Add to that a lightweight winger in the centre and you have an utter shit line up from a cowardly manager who don't have the bottle to try to beat a Tranmere team ravaged by injuries and poor form, but then again our form is just as bad at the moment. Three strikers on the field are no use to anyone when one is out on the wing and none of them get any sort of service................ And this piggy clown is still looking at even more strikers as if we are not already overloaded in that department FFS.

And yet McMahon,by all accounts, had his best game for the club on Saturday and Blackman has had his best games this seasosn in the wide right role .In what way was Wilson cowardly ? By keeping a clean sheet ? By playing Williams on the left who has done ok in that role this season ? In some games Williams has been the player who tries to overlap and get crosses in whilst Flynn on the other side doesn't.

You slag off Wilson (why do you need to call him a 'piggy' clown? He is as much as Wednesday fan as me and you) yet you don't suggest who else should play(please don't say McAlister because he has been poor all season) .

Our form in 'mid table' at the moment yet we are one point off being at the top. At the beginning of the season,if you said we would be in this position coming up to the Christmas games,i would be surprised if the majority of supporters weren't happy with that.

The key is the JTW for me so we can push on .

It's also worth noting that, while we are having mid-table form at the moment, the run of fixtures we are in, it's hardly unsurprising.
If we come out after January, within 3 points of first., it will be a success.

You obviously don't read (and sometimes squirm) at Blades Mad then :)
I think I 'may' be a member. Never read anything on there though.
