...they'd be 'Crocodile Shoes' by Jimmy Nail.

A pretty inoffensive, if rather bland offering, which seems to be hated by the majority. People can't understand how it ever got into the top twenty and constantly describe it as "one of, if not THE worst songs ever to grace the upper echelons of the charts", even preferring the likes of Aqua's 'Barbie Girl' and 'There's No One Quite Like Grandma' by St Winifred's School Choir. Many couldn't wait to see the back of it and hoped that it would never, ever get back into the top twenty again.

Jimmy Nail fans were heard to say 'As soon as Madonna, U2, Oasis, Dire Straits etc bugger off and form their own Super Charts somewhere in the middle east, the better for the rest of us.

Barbie Girl is an absolute fucking banger. Put it on loud.

We already have a song
"We ain't got a barrel of money"

Wine, beer and spirits all the time
Though I have you, still she's always on my mind
The rain falls down, I'm soaking through
I'm an old man inside a young man's suit
My crocodile shoes are crying, too
For they know how much love I have for you

How to disappear completely - Radiohead
Sign of the times - Prince
