Do you all think we'd have responded to the pressure like we have in the last 3 games? If it was someone who we don't really have any history with, Carlisle or someone like that, do you think there might have been a little bit less in the players tanks last few games? Personally the fact that it's Wednesday gets me much more fired up than I normally would be, think it's the same for them?

Yes. And Players like Washing Machine making snide comments will only spur the players on further.

Long may the pigs sniping continue.

i still really hope we go up on goal difference that would be fantastic have that washing machine

Rochdale
Bournmouth
Hartlepool

Yes

It's cus it's the pigs that failure is so fearful.

One man team, 5 different goal scorers in last two games

And yes I think we'd have responded the same

We need to avenge the 1949/50 season when Wednesday beat us into 2nd place (and promotion) by 0.008 of a goal (it was goal average then - not goal difference).

I was only 9 at the time, and it still rankles.

('But I'm not bitter', he said through clenched teeth)

I'm pretty certain we're both 'spurring each other on'. But we're winning at every turn. Comments like Madine's are sub-Mourinho 'mind games', without the talent.

These last few games - when they've temporarily taken our second spot, only to see us seize it back, have been like watching a cat playing with a mouse.:D

Precisely.

DW has, as we've come to expect, dealt with it impeccably. No trading of insults or jibes, but you can bet he's reminded the players from time to time that they're "nothing, really".

A mate of mine has the press cutting, in an envelope, ready to be sent to an appropriate place at a suitable time. I dare say he's not the only one.
