"Duffy is shit had one Good game at Hillsboro"

Half time

On CCV "send him back in January he's useless"

After an hour.

"Wilders lost the plot with these subs"

"O'Connell's overrated, can't defend"

I despair....

Just for good measure, a poster on here has started a thread in which he's said that our season now hinges on Saturday's game against Birmingham !!

What are some of these people on?

Amazes me the number of people who still don't know the offside rule and then proceed to get so worked up by what is a correct decision. I didn't think the ref got that much wrong decision wise just needed to stamp his mark on game time wasting wise. Also nice that bloke near me was calling for Wilder to "f***king use the U23s they'd be better than this shower of shite" when we went 5-2 down.

It’s the fans fault. There were over 25,000 there, the vast majority of whom got behind the team. Why highlight 4 that didn’t? Don’t agree with any of those comments but let’s be fair, our defending was shite tonight and fans were bound to make negative comments in the heat of the moment.

Blimey.

If we ever have a couple of bad results on the trot, let's not hope these little brat's reactionary drivel gets any more credence than it deserves.

Some people are just boorish wankers without a clue.

I remember some absolute pillock sat next to me at Coventry at home last season. Literally could have been promoted that night and after a goalless 30 mins he started mouthing off about how the game was shite to his partner and they should go down to the bar instead.

Just don't get some people.

It was noted on the radio that the crowd gave the team a standing ovation at the end of the game, Rob and Keef as the game headed towards the last couple of mins commented that players on both teams were struggling and had given their all, can't ask any more than that. You always get the odd one or two Harry that are never ever satisfied, I can't comment on the game as I was not there so will leave that to others, but by god the way we have started this season and esp after last season we are going to make mistakes sometimes..see how we react on saturday, i don't think Tufty will be bollocking them.

It was the targets they picked that riled me

My favourite was people moaning at Leon Clarke for having a shot from the edge of the box second half... The same who normally shout shoot as soon as we pass halfway, with 10 men blocking the path to goal.

Though some absolute knownowt not a million miles away was shouting at him to pass to the penalty spot just as he rifled in his second!

One of them I semi agree with. I thought wilder shot his lot a bit too early. Unfortunately the new set up meant we couldn’t concede the 4th so quickly and get back in the end. That said the lads will be bouncing on Saturday evening

CCV needs to be drop next game, had a truly shocking game today.
Hopefully just a one off but he had his head down too often when I looked at him tonight.
Duffy played well, don't know why anyone would have a go at him, same with Jack O'C
Subs were fine, Hanson did surprise me, CCV should have been subbed earlier.

In any gathering of people, there’ll always be a small percentage of brain-deads, fortunately the vast majority of Blades aren’t as we saw at the final whistle. UTB

The journey that Wilder and Knill have taken us on is just incredible. How anyone can criticise them or the players is quite simply ridiculous. How quickly some forget where we were.
I am loving this season - even the losses are far better performances than anything in the last 10 years.
Get a grip Blades, we are lucky to have what we have right now.

Don’t agree with Duffy being shit, but to be fair he’s only had one good game at Hillsborough...

Having only played one there for us :)

You have to make light of such stupid comments.

Fair comment. Even when Fulham scored a fifth the Kop started singing to try and lift the lads. You'd never have got that response under Adkins. It's just incredibly frustrating to sit around people who don't recognise how lucky they are to be watching United right now.

A bloke who was sat next to me was constantly blaming Duffy for everything. “Wake up Duffy! Bloody Useless in’t he? Come on Duffy put some effort in!” This was even happening when Duffy was nowhere near the ball, even if it was Wright and O’Connell passing between each other he’d be shouting about Duffy not running enough.

I was actually quite relieved when Duffy got subbed off because it was becoming very irritating.

Overheard on exit:

"Leon didn't have a good game tonight"

Can't understand any criticism of Duffy and JOC.

However there is some truth in that CCV has got away with some howlers already this season and we did lose our heads with the manic substitutions in the 2nd half.

I think we must sit near each other, this sounds undoubtedly like the same bloke on Duffy's case tonight.

On Friday at Burton he was our best defender. With the start we’ve made I’d say everyone’s allowed an off day. Tonight was his. Let’s remember he’s younger than Brooks and he’ll learn. The quickest way to get over it is to get back out there

So instead of letting him get back out on the pitch we are going to let him dwell on one bad back pass? And knock his confidence even more? yes he made a mistake for the first with a sloppy back pass but many professionals have done this before and he defiantly won't be the last player to ever do this. I think people forget he is still a very young lad just because of his size and strength, the lad is going to make some mistakes he is still learning as a player, to drop him I think is a massive mistake will totally knock his confidence and also for me was the man of the match at Burton so don't see why he should get dropped after one off performance? ccv will be thinking of that back pass right up to kick off on Saturday and will have annoyed him as much as it did any of us fans but it happens. Give the young lad a break.

We made mistakes tonight against a team who were fast going forward and closed us down at every opportunity resulting in a loss but, I witnessed a Chris Wilder side fight back from 2-5 down and never give in. Pulled another 2 goals back and see Leon Clarke grab another hat trick.

Strange but I don't feel downhearted or anything.
