The most embarassing episode in our recent history; the Northern Hillbillies and their day out in the Big Smoke, fighting against Them Londoners

Spam keeper green, said on tv a couple of weeks ago, that that save from peschi was the best save he has ever seen, got to agee with him, i thought it was a cert goal. :(
Still say it was over the line

Still say it was over the line

Some of the ball was over all of the line, but not all of the ball. It was a fantastic save and still the best one I have seen "live". I doubt I'll see a better one...

And this...

Ive got loads more at home.

I love this need more info ,I reckon right to left ,Cutbush ,Brown,Hatton ,Trusson ,Macphail , Kenworthy ,Edwards (hidden) mathews ,garner , Morris and one missing. I know some of these probably never played together but its who they look like. Opposition no idea ,but I will just above our keeper head half way up the kop next to the white railing :)

Zaphod Beeblebrox used to play for the Blades you know, in a life at the other end of the Universe.
The Beattie head was so aggressive it bit off one of the hands and spat it out

In future , playing illegal players will incur a points deduction penalty, as it should be , but we wanted West Ham just above Sheffield United, as Trevor was getting upset

It was a lot easier last time when Wimbledons keeper took a brown envelope off Everton

I actually had to have a good look at the picture above before it registered that it was 2005-06.

I thought essexblade87 had been using photoshop :D

Me too. I thought, "feck me we won something and I missed it - bloody typical"

Then I realised it was a celebration for failing to win something cos Reading had already done the business.

Div 4 was the last time we got a promotion as champions - shows we even bottle it when we achive any semblance of success.

Not great quality but...

Can't remember what game it was but there's a classic reaction from Kevin Blackwell, when Bromby of all people lined up to take a dangerous looking free kick that turned into a comedy punt into row z.

Can't find it on google images.

Come on lads need help with this

I'm wanting to do a range of iconic Blades images. An artistic biography of SUFC's greatest moments.

Starting off with this one:

I'm not really interested in match action/goal scoring shots - Is there a photo of TC sat on the ball anywhere? That kind of thing.

Please help me build the collection - post the pictures here.
Presty,
Do you put all the photos you have on a website or on Facebook?

I always like this one of TC with Johnny Giles and the iconic No.10 shirt, although I know he did also wear no.8 at one point. He was probably about to drop his shoulder and make Giles look a mug,and throw in a TC shuffle before pinging a ball out to Woody who probably in turn made Terry Cooper look a mug before an inch perfect cross to Billy Dearden to score...or something along those lines.

Nope. Haven't really collected a library of photo's as such, I just remember the little snippets of what people have shared.

I haven't gotten around to painting any of them yet either! :(

that's against west ham around 1976 (year we got relegated).. mervyn day in front? frank lampard senior and woody in background

Isn't that 'the' moment a certain quality player scored a quality goal?

pommpey

Looks like the photo was from a match in Elland Road in 1972 (we were wearing the "away" socks of black with red tops). Not sure if it was either the 1-0 defeat in January (Allan Clarke scored with a header) or the 2-1 defeat in November (Tom McAlister was carried off unconscious (after colliding with Mick Bates with Clarke tapping in the 2nd goal) and Woody took over in goal
