I saw this on the NewsNow site. Trying to verify the authenticity of this is hard, but if memory serves me correct it wasn't that long ago that the Egyptian midfielder was being chased by Liverpool and Galatasaray, so if that means anything he must have an interesting pedigree.

As the thread suggests gav, it's a rumour. May be nothing in it, but I cam across it on NewsNow and it has a link. It says we're interested in the player - www.kingfut.com/2014/02/23/sheffield-united-seek-sign-ibrahim-salah-agent/?

Bear in mind, it's a rumour. I see it's been reported on BladesMad that he's on the verge of signing, so no idea where they've seen this? It may have legs, there again just hot air. Personally, I doubt we could afford him, but go ahead united, prove me wrong.

I think you may be confusing him with Mohamed Salah, who Liverpool were interested in, and who recently signed for Chelsea.

Whilst we shouldn't take it as gospel, it's a good guide to his strengths. He's a defensive midfielder whose main attributes appear to be tackling, stamina and speed/agility - all good attributes for a DM! Hoping this is the beginning of the end of Doyle personally!

Salah may well be the Egyptian equivalent of Smith.

All of which may put a different take on things. Who knows, maybe he's a good 'un? And I think Cloughie is a good judge of a player so finger's crossed.

Well he's the same rating as Doyle according to FIFA, so no.

There are certain footy sites which tend to be more credible, but this one I doubt many have heard of.

Daily star, mirror and tribal football you can pretty much write them off as bullshit, this could be the same.

Edit: forgot to mention, does the lads agent get extra Islam points for having the name Mohamed Ramadan?
