a couple of weeks ago i travelled down the motorway for a couple of hours to peterbrough only to find out that the game was called off. I was gutted, i was exited for the game with being able to stand in terracing for the first time in years and following a great performance the week before against Bristol City.

I consider myself to be a loyal fan of SUFC home and away, but I am extremely confused as to how my feelings have changed from that excitement a couple of weeks back to refusing to go tonight purely out of principle. I'm not sure what principle it is making me stay at home, even when I have the tickets, but somethings just not right. is anyone else in the same position?

No, I can't wait to set off. We might be shite, but the thought of standing on terracing is almost a replacement for pornhub.

UTB

Nope, I'm leaving work early soon to make another trip down there and renewed my season ticket yesterday.

I'm not gonna stop going purely because we are shit at the moment, if I did that, I wouldn't have spent much time actively supporting the Blades :)

All bad runs must come to an end. Those of us who have been watching the Blades for a long time must know that when things look gloomy, eventually the team will surprise you.

As an example, between 20/10/87 and 17/11/87, in the old 2nd Division, the tally was: Played 7, Won 0, Drawn 1, Lost 6. Goals for 2, Goals against 15.

I dragged myself off to a night match against Reading on 21st November, one of a crowd of just 6,977.

What happened? Blades 4 Reading 1.

It would be nice to say the the season had a happy ending, but we were relegated, along with Reading and Huddersfield Town, but we had been struggling near the bottom of the table all season.

Keep the faith.

Crikey Broomers! You have to go back to 1987 to find a time when you were last surprised? Things are worse than I thought.
