the rot started in Januray when we sold or last hope of any goals in Blackman.
McCabe got rid of Danny off the back of a lot of pressure from unhappy fans, I for one was gutted when he got sacked. He showed what he could do with with a better quality of player in his first year, second year he had to replace players with sub standard players and then we even sold one of them. Some people never got past his Wednesday connection and at every opportunity got on his back. He came within a court case and a penalty kick from succeeding. Fine lines an all that !
I wonder where we'd be nowadays if Wilson was still in charge??
Another crackin bit of business by McCabe!!
UTB
He's waiting for his settlement.

we should have stuck with Wilson as with the money we have now he may have brought in better players this season but at the time McCabe paniced and hoped a change in manger would lift the team to promotion through the play offs and it failed.
Wilson was expierenced in this league and we may have been up there again this season but its all ifs
now we have to either stick and give Wier time to turn it round and accept this is a transitional period in our history
or we sack him and appoint a Clough, Keane, Clarke more expierenced younger managers or we go for a
Pulis or Warnock the older end of the expierenced that are a step back to the old united way but a way we know well and have enjoyed success in the past ?
I think the rot started long before then.
In the season after we were relegated from the PL McCabe was prepared to invest parachute money in the side (I'm sceptical about his claims of how much he has personally invested - but that's another story) but he made the huge mistake of recruiting Robson as manager. The following season he started to try and recoup more money from the club (his property business was going down the pan and he made a disasterous deal with an Australian business) - this resulted in him selling Beattie in January when were in an automatic promotion spot and leaving us without a striker!! It's been all downhill since then, with successive managers being choked of funds. McCabe even had the nerve to blame our decline on managers signing loan players (not the ones they actually wanted to sign) - what else could they do if funds weren't made available for permanent signings??
If it weren't for the confidentiality clauses they sign when they get sacked/payed off I think we'd hear exactly that from Blackwell, Adams, Wilson.
The truth is that Weir is totally out of his depth - he helped out with Everton U21s - he's in the middle of a S**T storm and he hasn't got a clue how to get out of it. I feel sorry for him but I agree he needs to go - probably as much for his own health as the team's - but don't forget who the real villain is. It's for that very reason I fear that things aren't going to get better (I'm not convinced there is any substantial investment available from the Saudi Prince).
Yes mate.Gardening leave? Does that explain why he's not popped up elsewhere?
