Fucking hell. There is no excuse to be so uninformed. I'm not a pundit but could tell you how each side in the league basically play. He's getting paid and he can't even he arsed to watch the teams he's commenting on
That’s exactly what I said mate, it’s not like our change in style is recent is it?. He’s mid 40’s and given the chance to maybe make it as a TV pundit. If it was me I’d clue myself up on every club in the division before goung in the show. Fecking hell if the ex Pig that presents the show can make it anybody can.

It's just so lazy and makes a mockery of Sky's coverage and their handling of the league that they give airtime to these people who clearly haven't done the basic research .There must be ex players and managers out there who know the basics about football below The Premiership and would work for Sky.

Its not just Eadie. So many of them just give a half arsed view of what they are watching and it's embarrassing listening to them. It can't be hard to get someone in who knows the basics about the things they are commenting on. Quest with Colin Murray and Holloway are showing the major channels up at the moment.

I noticed this when I watched it though I've pretty much given up on getting the media to not misreport on United, if they report at all.

Ive been keeping a list of all the matches I watch this season, so far this season I've watched 43 games across the Premier League, Championship and a couple of internationals and United are up there in terms of possession and general style of play, obviously against weaker opposition than in the Prem, but adjusted for level we're fantastic in the way we go about it.

We're not even on the BBCs Championship home page tonight, at least we weren't last time I checked. Everyone else is.

Spot on mate, Sky, BBC and BT, are all the same, all they’re interested in is the Premier League. Quest are doing a sterling job so far.

Murray said about today’s game “It wasn’t the electric performances we’ve seen in recent weeks but they (United) showed a lot of character”. Eadie would only have had to watch 2 or 3 shows over the last year or two to understand our usual style of play. It’s one thing being a lazy journo who’s maybe complacent after years of reporting but to be so inept on your debut is pretty special when everything about every club in the Championship is available to watch and download online. 2 or 3 hours research and he could have got a basic handle on every club.

It annoys me more than it should. It's just totally pointless having people on talking about things they dont have any idea about. You don't get it on other shows. You don't have a show on The Beatles where the main guest is someone who hasnt heard Sgt Pepper.

At least he's not a biased useless wanker like McManaman was on Pool/PSG midweek for BT

It’s not like we’ve just changed our style under Wilder either is it? We played a passing game under the previous 3 managers before him albeit not very successfully for a lot of the time. It makes you wonder what the criteria is for getting a pundit’s job is on Sky and who does the interviews.

I think the BBC’s coverage of non Premier League football is a disgrace apart from local radio. The last 2 season’s had the the contract they didn’t always put the Football League show on if there were no Championship games and when they did it’d often be around or after midnight. Ch5 weren’t much better, so far Quest seem to be the best of the bunch.

He's a weapons grade twat that guy.

Remember playing in a 5 a side tournament at Carrow Road a few years ago and he was strutting around like he ran the place. People were generally just ignoring him and as I was within earshot he said, and I quote, "Don't any of these muppets know who I am". At which point I laughed and said it's tough to recognise anyone who spent most of their career in the physio room.

His response consisted of just two words, I'll let you guess them :D

"Spastic" and "mentalist"?

This incident merely highlights what a god awful programme the Sky EFL coverage is . Amateurish is too kind a word for it .

Fortunately, I said as much on here after the first show and several of the good citizens on here pointed me towards the Quest coverage which is infinitely superior ( except when that annoying fat bird is presenting it , rather than the peerless Colin Murray ) :)

Should imagine the fans that do watch the show, are more clued up about us than he is.
Just another no mark, showing his, and skys ignorance of anything outside of the Premier league.

You'd think since they sponsor it they'd give a shit about it. Also, it hasn't always been the case but 10th down in the Prem to 10th up in the Championship are separated by one or two good players in each team. Fundamentally the quality of general play is there.

If a network actually took this league and gave a shit about publicising it and bigging it up, it could be a big thing for them. It's easily one of the most competitive and entertaining in Europe.
