The problem for KM and subsequently the prince and KM is that they have not had the luxury of seeing a manger do a big enough job to turn us round.

Once they do see a man who can do this very big job I'm sure they'll stick with him but in football it's entirely possible some other bigger club will whisk him away.

If Adkins doesn't make progress over say 2 years and let's be right, he has not made much progress yet, far from it, I think we will be looking at Chris Wilder who looks as though he knows the ropes from the evidence of Northampton and his last side Oxford. At least Chris would stick with us long term.

Whether Chris is a big enough man to lift us two levels who knows?

i was only born in 1991 so i'm sure in a lot of fan's eyes that discounts my opinion... but yes surely he is up their in SUFC's modern era... especially if he finishes above Dave Bassett's 14th (in the modern era of the ultra-competitive EPL).

He’s a breath of fresh air. Couldn’t be more different to his corporate bullshit platitude speaking predecessor if he tried.

He epitomises what this club and this city is about more than any other manager I’ve known.

Straight talking, honest, and humble in a very positive way. And a great sense of humour as well. Great ambassador for our club.

Manages like he played. Gives 100%. Was a good player, not a great one, but as a manager he’s “simply the best”. And I go back as far as John Nicholson. Err...I mean Harris.
