and I feel sorry for Micky that his tenure at Sheffield United will probably be remembered as much for our relegation as it will be for his signings of Collins and Doyle.

I can already imagine in 20 years. 'dad do you remember Micky Adams?'

'Yes son, he signed the two players worst, inept, crap, bankers in United history'

P lease feel free to insert the word of your choice from, WORST, INEPT, CRAP,.............between "he signed the two ............player in United history"

I, on the other hand, think it's quite sad that Micky signed Collins and Doyle, and feel sorry for us that he did.

>The worst? Barry Butlin, Steve Finnieston.....Ryan France....
chris guthrie (mentioned in another post).. doyle and collins
everyone on here will know how i don't particularly rate monty but christ on a bike.. doyle and collins are worse (i can't believe i actually typed that)

include lauren ten heuvell and lee baxter in that list of wank players

i too think its quite sad as to where we sit at present, considering a few years ago, being the well run club with very little debt and with visions of european football on the agenda according to the owner, what are we now ? a fuckin laughing stock a comedy club is what we have become.if this is how Mccabe runs his property empire i would hate to think i was buying an house off the wanker

ah well the ups and downs of football eh?.. like i was saying in another post currently ive seen 6 relegations, 6 promotions 3 fa cup semis and a watneys cup final :D.. it's an up and down existence but typing that made me realise i'd rather have that than be a man utd fan.. 'so what was the score luv.. we won.. so what was the score luv.. we won.. so what was the score luv.. we won'.. ooh er.. i've come over all philosophical :D

Seck, Tommy Black, Tommy Johnson and a cast of thousands that Warnock played player pinball with will always be in my memory.

Hunt (was it Jonathan) sticks in the memory as well. Adams is keeping good company and has managed to buy some of the most inept shite in a really short timescale. Big up to MA.

Everything considered, some of the names mentioned as worst signing simply do not come up to the woefully inept standards of Henderson.

The discussion is about to end: I have the Ace of Spades. It's checkmate.

Seriously I understand all the players you mention but I can't remember them being such a lead weight as Doyle and Collins. I can only hope they are only tarmacing Micky's drive and they have accepted playing in United's 1st team as payment. Hopefully they will be done in the summer and moved onto another caravan park

All these players (the ones I've seen) were indeed terrible. But strikers and midfielders aren't so bad. Collins has played in the heart of the defence in nearly every game he's been available for, and given away a goal in nearly every one! It's not like Baxter having one disasterous half, or Ten Heuval looking a bit rubbish in attack.

In terms of damage caused, Collins is the worst player I have ever seen.

It's a real shame for the likes of Lowton or Lowry, who are decent enough players, to have their good work continually undone game in game out by Nosworthy and Collins.

ten heuval looking "a bit crap", he were fuckin rubbish at barnsley and he were rubbish at the lane, i.e thats why i bracket him with the likes of collins and doyle, all alleged footballers not

Ahh, my all time, never to be surpassed even if we signed a one legged dwarf with a hunchback, worst player.

His interview after signing in The Star was a classic. Asked about what he was hoping to bring to the club he admitted being "not the fastest or best in the air or a goal scorer". Oh, how he managed to undersell his contribution even with that advert.
Having said that he didn't cause me to shit my kecks like the boy Collins does every time the opposition get hold of the ball.
