I remember when I first heard that song. It was on the radio when I was driving home from an enjoyable day out at Bempton Cliffs, and I thought they were singing 'Ivory Tourettes'. I just couldn't get the image of an elephant going round saying "Fuck a copper" and "Soapy tit wank" out of my head, and still think of it today when I hear it. True dat.

It was released in 2004. I can remember hearing it for the first time on Radio 1. I think John Peel played it first, and it hadn’t been released at that time and it was maybe the last song he championed before he passed away.

It brings back memories of an away day late on in the 04/05 where I was going to either Watford or Reading away and walking over the hill to Chapeltown early in the morning still half cut after being out until 4 in the morning and just about to go and do it all over again, and listening to it on my old IPod.
