Think it dates back to when we played them in the playoff semi when Katchuro got the winner, we only had 10 men because our keeper ( Alan Kelly I think was so badly injured he could hardly move ).There was a rumour going around about 20 odd years ago that Ipswich fans really don’t like Sheff Utd. Apparently back then we were one of their most hated clubs.
In 2010 I was working away in Barrow in Furness. After a while people got to know I was a Blade from Sheffield.
An old guy from IT came up to me and said he was an Ipswich Town fan and then said “we don’t like Sheffield United”. Asked him why and he said “we just don’t”, as though he didn’t know himself.
Does anyone know the history why Ipswich don’t like us and whether it’s true.
Heard it was related to our 2 legged play-off semi final win. Didn’t we score our winner at their ground in the last minute.
Seems a bit extreme just because we beat them in a play-off. Maybe Benjamin Bloom might know more details.

Also at that time they had a real evil bastard called Tarrantino or something similar who spent all game going round trying to cripple the opposition, you can imagine the reception he got at the Lane.
What a playerHarry Clarke
Thanks Davey, you are correct on both points.I thought Andy Walker got the winner and Katchuro got the first.
Mauricio Tarrico was the subject of your second sentence.
