Alf Ringstead, outside right who scored 101 league goals in 247 games for us between 1950 and 1959, and won 20 caps for Ireland scoring 7 goals.

At this point there are at least 18 other players that have played for both clubs.

Scored a memorable winning goal for us against Leeds in 1985, top corner at the kop end and not a header.
That game was also memorable for the darling Leeds fans ripping the seats out of the Bramall Lane upper tier and throwing them on the pitch at half time.

Yes, at Reading towards the end of the 1995-96 season.

Ah, I remember that game pretty well! I don’t remember the goal, but I vividly recall all of the seats raining down. I was scared and wanted to go home!
