I lost count of the amount of times he said we can't compete with Liverpool. A team so mighty they lost to Brighton and Burnley.

Personally, I feel that we’re in a typically United perfect storm of misfortune (some of it is self inflicted, granted). I could spend a good few minutes explaining why I think this but some will agree and some will disagree regardless of what I’ve got to say.

However, because of that situation what I will say is that I don’t want Wilder gone. I don’t believe next season will be a walk in the park but this management team have shown they can turn things around (remember how bad we were when Wilder took over?)

Yes, this season has been ridiculously bad but that’s just one bad season out of 5. If only our previous managers had achieved such a ratio.

Folk have been saying this all season, Wilder's demeanour has changed dramatically, his reaction to the latest defeat is nothing new, sadly.

Whether it's down to empty stadiums, losing JOC early on, or frustrations over the wage structure...whatever, he is a completely different animal now, and crucially I think it has rubbed off on the team.
