Bring back Warnock, we have been shocking since he went, no pride, no passion, no honesty, its all gone. At least with Warnock we knew where we stood and so did all the players.

I'm not just bitter after who beat us today, it could of been anyone and I would still feel the same.

I want the old blades back with the never say die attitude, the team that tried their hardest and worked as a team to grind out results.

I want a manager that cares about the club.

I'm so pissed off with whats going on at the moment, the way we are going we will get battered next week and will fall away from the playoffs

Something needs to change we need to get some life and passion back into the club.

Agreed and I always loved and admired Warnock for his down to earth approach but not sure if he would be the right escape route. Plus, don't think he'd come, or the board would have him.

I agree in the sense that we need a no nonsense manager in who can inject some passion into the side, and who is willing to try and play football.

But i think bringing Warnock back would be a step backwards not a step forwards.

As to who we would bring in, god only knows!

Yep. On that note, if play-offs fail this season then I'd want a clear-out with all deadwood removed, wages stripped etc. Change things big time and build a new TEAM.

There's no TEAM at the moment. 11 'footballers' who are underperforming at present. But no TEAM.

Never go back; it's a sentiment that Blackwell should have taken into account although you can hardly blame him given the state of his career when we came knocking.

Neil was treated terribly by the powers that be at BDTBL (and a good number of fans too) so i doubt he is in any rush to come back.

I reckon we would have gone straight back up if Neil had stayed and i dare say he could turn things around now but i'm also sure he wouldn't even give it a second thought.

What is Howard Kendall up to these days...

I agree Bexley the team needs rebuilding from scratch I'd rather play the youngsters let them have a go, least they will want to play and do well.

If Warnock doesn't fancy moving back up north, then what about Lord Harry of Bassett?

We would need a big personality with plenty of experience who gets his team playing football; so how about any of the following:

Terry Venables, Glen Hoddle, George Graham or Joe Royal.

The problem is that none of the above would come cheap and i doubt they would be looking to move up north.

Out of that lot i'd only really look at Royle.

Hoddle is a weirdo and about as motivational as Robson. Graham and Venables are far too expensive

Last seen at Goodison Park sat next to Bruce Groebelaar at the Merseyside Derby in the week.

I don't know if it's rose tinted specs or the 'drown your sorrows' ale flowing thorugh my system but when i think of how he got us playing i could almost weep.

It can be done with the right man; we just haven't had the right man since Kendall left.

I think Blackwell does care about the club.

He just doesn't know what to do.

So Warnock wasnt the right man to rebuild when he did then?
Did i say anything about Neil? I was and still am a big fan of what Neil did for this club.

I was talking about the kind of football that was played under Kendall. Before he joined we were playing some of the most awful football i have ever seen and during his reign we were passing the ball about like i have never seen before or since.

Warnock was successful playing the kind of football that Neil's teams play but in terms of passing the ball Kendall's team was by far the best United team i have ever seen.

ok but we got no where and did nothing

He was here for 2 seasons, got us to a play-off final and got us playing some fantastic football.

What did Neil achieve in his first 2 seasons?

I think Neil did a great job at Sheff Utd; do you think that Howard Kendall did not?

Holdworth is doing well with mansfeild ( Conference )
Hes a Blade
He'll be cheap

Sounds like something Mccabe would go for.

I'm not saying Kendall didnt do a good job but when he left we had to start from scratch again and rebuild the club.
Which is where Warnock came in and yes it took him years to do it, but now we seem to be going backwards and it hurts.

Okay, i agree; obviously there was a bit of confusion between us there.

Perhaps the truth is that when you have a manager who gets a team playing successfully and then leaves there is always a period of transition while the new manager puts his stamp on the club.

The problem is that you have to have the right man to put his stamp on the team and i think we are still looking for him.

and the funny thing is... throughout them all, I don't think there's been one of them who hasn't has the same criticisms or the same amount levelled at them as Blackwell at some stage :)

I agree we are still looking for him. What gets me is when Blackwell first arrived we were playing some decent passing football and looked a good side, and that was with the team he inherited from Robson. However, he changed it and now we are simply shit. Why change something that was working? We had so many expectations which have been built up by the board.

Something isnt right behind the scenes, interviews lately from KM and KB they have seemed stressed giving snappy replies, we have been lied to about certain situations such as the Beattie incident, and it makes me wonder if finacialy we are not in as good as position as we have been told.

LOL remember this thread.... not even 3 months ago... shows how quickly things can change in football.

and i had to bloody listen to the ranting all the way home lol

why the bloody hell is that picture there lol we're doomed :-)

thats better, rather have him in charge than bloody Robbo lol
